Noticed when Mark asked her if she had ever been raped and she said “no cause I usually go along with it” man that broke me. It’s almost like she’s a kid, needs someone to take care of her and love her. She needs a home that she doesn’t get abused in.. its very difficult to get out of homelessness on your own. I was very moved by this interview. I feel so bad for this girl. I lost my oldest son at age 30 to a drug overdose. I have another son one year older than her that had been clean one year in October and doing very well. I wish I had the room to take her in because I certainly would and give her the love and affection she never had and teach her about life and give her security. She would never have to be on the streets again or prostitute and I would help her get clean. This girl is gonna be etched in my mind forever. Be well Madison. I will pray for you every night sweet girl. You are a beautiful soul that is just lost. If I can ever find a way to come rescue you I will. ❤️

Sometimes I stop and think maybe I made a mistake, but seeing your videos, I see what happens when people have children who either don't want them or aren't cut out to have them. She is so child like. I truly believe that at the age a person is abused is where they tend to stay stuck mentally. I pray that she gets the help she needs soon. Her mom is a pos and may not even have the capacity to feel empathy/love or even understand how much pain she’s caused her own daughter. It’s easier said than done, yet, sometimes you have to pull yourself out of that darkness and not make a home within that pain. You may never get what you need from your mom to heal you and you shouldn’t have to take a lie detector test to prove to your mom that you were telling the truth. A mom is supposed to protect her children and listen to them when they are crying out. Moms, please stop choosing men over your own children. You will reap what you sow and never have a happy life.

As someone who was sexually abused as a child I know what she means when she says shes never been raped, she has she just isnt ready to process it. Statuatory rape is rape, but it takes a safe environment to process that. I hope she finds her way out, I hope she can find her worth. But I doubt it considering how the world treats people like her. Thank you Mark for sharing these stories, I got out because I had one parent who stepped in. I would be where she is without my dad, but the world needs to know. That is the saddest thing to try to avoid the emotional pain of being raped.... to say and maybe even believe you are just going along with it. I have a mind to live a life devoted to finding scum who turn these children into broken women and handing their own tiny testicles to them in a jar. Where are the good and protective parents!!?? This makes me so sick... so angry...that society here in America let all these broken people fall through the cracks. Every interview is a human life discarded by other people....
@pennyt27774 жыл бұрын
@@eddiedavenport6781 Its a way to survive, best way I could put it in comparison that could maybe universally translate would be imagine that you suffered a horrific injury but your survival instinct keeps you going to somewhere for help instead of letting you accept your fate. You're still very much injured but if you let yourself dwell on that your chances of survival go down, your brain instead makes you forget in order to keep moving. If you ever get a chance to sit down and feel safe, knowing theres no more danger and likely ever wont be again? Slowly but surely your brain starts to process it, or sometimes fast and aggressively. Also a side effect thats less known about victims of rape is that a response to it even as a child can be hypersexuality, it makes you think youre in control and then you can later feel that you have no right to call yourself a victim because you treated yourself the way your abuser treated you after that initial trauma. The brain will do crazy things in order to keep us safe in whatever way it can. As for the parents I think many of us werent actually wanted, or our parents thought they wanted us but once we were there they lost interest, its too easy to have kids and the government doesnt seem able to keep what kids are here safe.
@mimi74344 жыл бұрын
Some people feel like if they "enjoyed" it then it wasn't rape which isn't true. Sometimes the body does respond to manipulation as pleasure as a way to cope with what's happening. When she said "I just go with it" that means she doesn't want to, but she doesn't want the repercussions of saying "no". So many people go through this and are left to deal with it themselves. How can we deal with it ourselves if we haven't learned or developed tools? When they kept putting her in jail they should've given her therapy. Perhaps then she wouldn't have repeated the same behavior. People are literally fending for themselves and it's sick that nobody cares enough to help them.

People moving out of the area, who wants to live around tent cities where its an open drug market. There has to be balance. It can also happen when people start using drugs at a young age. Substance abuse will cause an underdeveloped brain to stop developing completely. An old friend of mine just lost his battle with heroin after being on the streets of Chicago not even a year. Why are her hands so red?
@BootsORiley2 жыл бұрын
@@rebeccascott8404 a lot of addicts (I say this from personal experience) end up with their veins collapsed in the crook of their of their elbows, and like my myself, all up and down the rest of the arms. Eventually, even tho it sucks really bad, the hands become the most viable spot to shoot heroin/fentanyl quickly. It’s very painful and it’s no longer pleasurable at that point. You can countdown to how long you’ll be dope sick the second you start feeling the pain in your hands from them being a pincushion when the opiates begin gradually wearing off. Look at Layne Staley in the Alice In Chains Unplugged video. He’s wearing gloves. Why do you think he felt the need to wear gloves in a performance that was going to be video recording? If her veins collapse in her hands, it’s likely onto the neck. When you see footage of addicts shooting dope into their neck veins, they’re near the end of the line. Some women shoot into their breast. I’ve met a few at rehab that missed shots there and got abscesses there which needed surgery.. I can’t even imagine.. Once the honeymoon phase of heroin addiction is over, I can promise you, it stops being enjoyable and it becomes a living nightmare filled w pain. A sleeping nightmare, too, because we dream of dope, too. Just before I woke up I dreamt I scored two packs of dope and was trying to find a rig in order to shoot it; and I don’t even use anymore (thank God).

I can relate to Madison because I was in the same situation, where my father was abusing me sexually. My mother was no help at all until I fell into a deep depression at 19 and then she finally helped me to move away from home. My father was German and so strict and physically abusive as well. My natural mother, ran away from my father when I was 5. My stepmother was religious and when I said I was moving in with the nuns, she was all for it. The best thing I ever did for myself was to move away from that toxic and scary life. I could have easily, under the wrong circumstances, and at the wrong place, could have turned to drugs to numb the pain. It just seems, most drug users, especially girls and women, are trying to numb the pain of remembering their childhood traumas. Throughout my life, I tried to push back the bad memories, without drugs or alcohol. I went through many clinical depressions and hospitalizations and at 36 I was diagnosed with bipolar 1, when I started to experience manic episodes. I feel sorry Madison doesn't have a true friend but I guess it's impossible to trust. She's only 26 and if she's able to turn herself around, and be free of drugs, she could make a difference in this world. I wish I could be her friend, but I live in Canada...so far away. Take care, Madison...if you read this, know I care and love you, sweet girl, and only hope the best for you. Thank you "Soft White Underbelly", for doing the kind work that you do. 1 of 2 of my favorite and compelling interviews on this channel. Child like mannerisms and speech but her emotional intelligence was what really impressed me. She is completely aware and acknowledges truths of how and what her pain, regrets, feelings etc has and is affecting her and her life. Most people can’t or won’t acknowledge, admit, face that part of themselves. Not only is she a survivor, she’s believably honest and aware of her naiveness. What I also thought was fascinating, was how in control she was of her body language and demeanor. The years she spent in foster care and of the abuse, neglect and trauma she has developed such a convincing poker face and carefully scripted responses that has and continues to serve her well. Not like manipulation or anything but more like a smoke and mirror tricks that she uses to protect herself, keep others at a distance. Oddly enough though, she just wants love and respect. It breaks my heart that she doesn’t see her future anymore. I know what she’s talking about and it is extremely lonely, terrifying and utter sadness. I hope and pray for her and please, please, please if possible-do a follow up or give an update.

I’ve noticed a lot of people that are addicted to heroin that you’ve interviewed have really swollen and red hands. I’ve never been exposed to heroin or people who have so I’m curious as to why that happens. Mark this channel has been a huge eye opener to the things going on everywhere in the world. This is just a little chunk of what’s happening in L.A. I admire the work you do by allowing these people to tell their stories. Momo’s story is still weighing heavily on me. All of the ones being interviewed show such a great sadness in their eyes. I live in Tennessee and heroin just got really bad here the past couple of years with the fall of the pill mills, but I still don’t see it. It all gets pushed to the “bad” side of town so to speak although it’s everywhere I’m sure. If you are above the poverty level then you don’t see it. Sadly there’s a “skid row” in every city in America. I hate how so many have failed these once beautiful and innocent children. I wish people fought harder to break the cycle. There’s always some type of drug/alcohol/sexual abuse it seems in a few generations. It’s so sad that the horrible things are what is being passed to our children and so many end up like this young lady. These videos humble me and make me extremely thankful I had the resources and family support I had to make it out of addiction. Most on this channel have none of that. What are we doing America?!! Why are we not doing more?!!!! Thank you for showing all of the footage you’ve shown. God Bless you and all who come to you to tell their stories❤️

Actually it's from missing the veins in her hands and it just goes into your skin. Causes abscess and a lot of other issues.

Pathetic excuse for a mom to chose her bf over her innocent child.never fails, the people use drugs because of molestation and/or a broken family unit

This young woman needs a helping hand to rebuild and restart her life. I hope she gets it. A very sad story. Damn.

When Mark asked her if there was one thing she would change to make things better, she replied “I wish I wouldn’t of told my pastor what was going on at home“. She wishes that she would’ve kept it inside and hid it from her mother. I’m sure she feels that her life would’ve turned out differently because she would’ve stayed at home with her mom. Unfortunately her mother abandoned her, which is what ultimately resulted in the broken person you see in this video

This poor woman (child) would rather endure the abuse by her stepfather and keep her mom than to have stood up for herself and ask for help as she did. Heartbreaking. 😢

@Ivo Not sure. Perhaps she has really dry hands that are red and cracking. She could potentially also have OCD from her experience.

It's conjecture, she might be dead. God is also supposition aimed at the weak of mind to control them. The pimp and fear of god are exactly the same thing.
