worth noting*** for people strugglebussing to guardians 300 - i feel like it's reasonable to assume particularly with maxed heroes that everything is doable, and highly recommend you consider saving your resources until we figure out what advantages become available during the second half of the event (the description of the unavailable relic is pretty self explanatory, it will likely have some effect on jar loot rolls - though considering i have no idea what a jar is the only thing i know is what i don't know and while we have until the end of the event to do guardians, there's a very good chance we may find a hookshot or bombchu or any other number of useful tools to aid in knocking over a lvl.300)

I am not surprised, we had a 2 week overhype of this thing and it is quite a struggle. I lost track how long this has gone on for, but not only I am fed up of it, but it is just a hard grind. It is helping making my other characters stronger though. Oh. I saved up everything I could 2 weeks before the event. I saved up everything and guess what.....it only got me to level 3, rank purple. lol. My other characters are better than her, heck, even Ginger is so far

You didn't understand my question, Charlie. By purchasing a $15 golden ticket you have a chance to collect 150 soul stones. And this is a nice price, but to get points in this ticket you have to spend real money, and not a small one at that. We're talking about tens of dollars, not $15. To have a chance to get these 150 soul stones, you need to complete all part 1 tasks, which means you need to open 200 (or more, I don't remember) outland boxes, and that means buying emeralds. If you don't buy it, you won't complete the ticket and you won't have 150 Lara's soul stones. Who knows what they will come up with in part 2. I don't know why you are avoiding the topic of the golden ticket, because that is generally the main complaint about the game. Finally, briefly about Temple Guardian. Personally, I think this is a money grab. It's better to wait for the Titan golden ticket with a totem and it will be much cheaper. Greetings Web player.

This event broke the camels back for me. Not only the business strategy but the overall attitude of the company regarding paying customers. I bought the Lara event ticket too, also pre-ordered Lara and I still got very dissapointed. Either you spend a ton to get buffs or you spend a ton of your much more valuable lifetime trying to get by the levels of the guardians without buffs. Then there was a bug with the event coins and support did not responded to me in the way it would be appropriate. All in all they really made me think to question if it's all worth. Charlie mentioned in a previous video that the company does not care if whales quit, because they already got their money. And I think this count for me too (not a whale! but a regularly paying customer for tickets and emeralds, some bundles, Valkyries favor renewal every week as long as I played). They don't be customer friendly because they already have gotten the money from me. I decided to stop paying, even not renew the Valkyries favor. And eventually I think I will stop playing bc. without 5x in battles it's really time consuming (and boring).

150 soul stones will be update later also so we need not to spend a money too soon, without Lara, we still can win other rival :D , the event only focus on taking a money and too hard for player not spend a money.

Thanks for sharing that insight, MrsTreehouse-sensei! It's 250 Outland Boxes opened to complete that mission line. You might be right -- now getting all of Lara's soul stones may require spending lots of emeralds just to get enough Renown to inch closer towards the soul stones... aaaah trapped! I'm now regretting buying the Lara ticket. I'll try to send a support ticket to Nexters and tell them about this -- not optimistic about their response, but at least telling it to them eases my anxiety a bit... Thanks again!

On the Lara Croft ticket thing... you're still right about needing to spend emeralds on Outland to get more Renown and be able to finish the ticket? I purchased 2-3 US$22 packages to have 20k emeralds in the bank just to be ready... Having more math would be nice, but it's true this event is a money grab, sadly... What would be your goals for this event, Treehouse-sensei? Would you be just getting as far you could, using those painstaking strats to defeat the Temple Guardians, or just randomly break the vases and hopefully get Lara souls? I took the oppurtunity saved all my Lara coins, about 120k & purchased Soul Stone boxes, XP bottles, Artifacts, etc, now i finally have every Hero except Cleaver, i get him in 42 days 👍

It is weird. I am getting the points nicely, I get the different artifact colours to level up her artifact things, which is level 3 now. But like, I collect two or three a day and they disappear into the system quickly. I have to wait again the next day to do it again. It is crazy. I know it is part of her rebrand, but I am pretty sure this could have gone a lot better.

Aren’t gonna lie, but the Laura Croft even has been my least enjoyable event since started playing the game barely 90 days ago playing on mobile. And I don’t have many months or even years like other players to compare to a whole lot of other events. Even my guild which is top server guild on our mobile server has seemingly been less active during this event cycle with not as much to do.

I thought Nexters was greedy by adding skin+ and VIP talismans, this is just next level. Buy a battle pass, buy buffs, buy energy, buy a bowl all to get a “free” hero and INCREDIBLE rewards like totem fragments and red gifts. Then on mobile, they 4x the price on battle pass, made it incredibly frustrating to level and made the Lara Croft event an absolute snoozefest unless you are p2w. I’m really not even happy to login anymore. 1 hour for 1 energy on a 50 energy fight, and it caps at 50? Did their market research show that crapping directly on your customers heads was profitable? I just got my guild numbers back with a triple merge on mobile after talismans, and now this. I don’t think I can do it anymore.

My only complain is they now don't reward you anymore for spending on the Hero's Way for example. For spending money, now you can get resources for spending even more money. Don't think it's a good evolution. I hope people will no longer buy this. That's the only way they will change something, by looking at their numbers.

It is actually worse than a std event because we still don't know what is happening in the second week. So players have got to a point and they are not doing, anything waiting to find out what they need for next week So all the excellent marketing, build up etc and everyone gets hyped for the big release, and it falls flat because we are sitting around twiddling our thumbs because we still don't know what resources we will need. They tease use with Totem, which may or may noy be obtainable (doesn't look so at this stage) You set the expectations high and you better be able to meet them. A lesson in how to grab defeat out of the jaws of victory

why should Nexters cater toward F2P players? they don't support the gane financially. they should just be happy that they get any free resources. (am i wrong?)

Because Nexters are already making a lot of money with in-game advertisements alone, and FTP players do watch them. Nexters tend to raise prices instead of making them affordable for a wider range of players. That's just greedy and inconsiderate. Additionally to their greed is their incompetence. In HW Alliance, they updated the UI after 8 years of the game's existence. They rather release a new stupid hero which makes old teams obsolete than do something good and smart for quality of life in-game. Sorry for making this too long, but the overall complaint could not fit into less words.

@@sikic123 i agree that they're greedy and charging ridiculous amounts. the answer to that is just stop playing the game if you don't like it. i think they should cater more to the P2W people. those that spend hundreds of dollars per month should get more bonuses. those that don't spend anything shouldn't really complain... thats my take anyway. if they didn't release new heroes to counter old ones, this game would get very boring.

@@mikeymike7721 yes, stopping playing would be the best idea. However, it is not easy to quit after investing so much time and money (I'm probably in the cheap-to-play category, not spending more than 50€ per month. But still, money is money). The problem with new heroes is that they are more often than not overpowered. And then I wonder, what good was my investment if none of my 3 hero lineups from Grand Arena can take out that new hero or the effect it brings to the opposing team. A prime example of this could be Julius, because Satori, Karkh, Keira, Ishmael lineups all fall short when facing progress or fart lineups with Julius in it. It's just ridiculous.

it's not catering for f2p but balancing out. this event even for those who spend money on game is abesolutely wayyyyyy too much. did they even look at numbers? opening over 30 outland boxes which is abesolute waist for emeralds... they did really do their math wrong. or insane temple guardians... I stopped with 4* Lara and just gathering event coins to spend on gear upgrades. anyway those who spend real money on the game counts their money and what you get for it very well. so seeing so many paying players boicotting this event completely

@@sikic123 you said it yourself. you understand that new heroes will come out that counter old heroes. yet you are actually shocked or upset when it happens. don't view this game as an investment, view it as a game to have fun with. if you want to be ultra competitive, then understand that it is a P2W game. maybe this game isn't for you. or you could play it with the realization that you won't be the strongest and able to beat everyone, if you are F2P or C2P.
