@OneDayAfterAnother It's because timber rattlers and copperheads have been persecuted far more heavily in the foothills of the Appalachians than they have in the deep lowland south. This persecution and "kill on sight" policy has taken the biggest and baddest snakes out of the gene pool. What is left is what's timid and less dangerous because that is all that survived. Believe it or not the coastal plains of the Carolinas, and Georgia, and the deep swampy areas of Alabama and Mississippi haven't been heavily cleared and settled to this day. Not like the upland south.

A couple years ago i was living in Charleston, SC and one of my boxers got nailed by a baby canebrake in our yard and bless his heart he had a rough recovery. The vet said bc he was 100lbs and all muscle, prob saved him. After 10 mins of the bite he started showing signs and i got him to the vet about 15 mins after that and they did their thing. Those snakes are no joke!!! Beautiful creatures but i hope to never encounter one again. Love your videos!!!!
@VenomCentral2 жыл бұрын
Our vet always suggested the venom vaccine and I totally believe it helped a couple of my buddies that I told to get it done plus ordered their own antivenom for canines in case they were in need and not near the vet. They are HOT sumbitches here, too. If they'd get my boxer now, he's almost 13, ge wouldn't survive it. (He was a big 104 lbs in his prime) I take him for his walks everyday but we stay away from any high grass nowadays. Thanks for sharing your story and I'm so glad to hear that your boxer survived! 🐾🙏💯
