I agree! I have other snake videos I watch as well from different KZbin channels and they are getting so annoying with their loud and silly antics. I like this one because he is educational and is still himself. His passion shows in his work and when he gets to talking and that’s ok! Thank you for doing what you do and not selling out for likes and subscribers

@OneDayAfterAnother It's because timber rattlers and copperheads have been persecuted far more heavily in the foothills of the Appalachians than they have in the deep lowland south. This persecution and "kill on sight" policy has taken the biggest and baddest snakes out of the gene pool. What is left is what's timid and less dangerous because that is all that survived. Believe it or not the coastal plains of the Carolinas, and Georgia, and the deep swampy areas of Alabama and Mississippi haven't been heavily cleared and settled to this day. Not like the upland south.

A couple years ago i was living in Charleston, SC and one of my boxers got nailed by a baby canebrake in our yard and bless his heart he had a rough recovery. The vet said bc he was 100lbs and all muscle, prob saved him. After 10 mins of the bite he started showing signs and i got him to the vet about 15 mins after that and they did their thing. Those snakes are no joke!!! Beautiful creatures but i hope to never encounter one again. Love your videos!!!!
@VenomCentral
@VenomCentral 2 жыл бұрын
Our vet always suggested the venom vaccine and I totally believe it helped a couple of my buddies that I told to get it done plus ordered their own antivenom for canines in case they were in need and not near the vet. They are HOT sumbitches here, too. If they'd get my boxer now, he's almost 13, ge wouldn't survive it. (He was a big 104 lbs in his prime) I take him for his walks everyday but we stay away from any high grass nowadays. Thanks for sharing your story and I'm so glad to hear that your boxer survived! 🐾🙏💯

I was squirrel hunting and walked up on a big timber rattler. It was just a few inches from my right leg. I`ve never seen an aggressive one but that`s just my experience. I stepped on a small one`s tail barefoot and it politely tapped on the side of my foot without biting to let me know. That`s the kinda snake I want around so I let it live. I don`t know why it didn`t bite but that`s a true story.

Hey Willy, I can get you as much driftwood as you want. Beautiful, and any size. I’d be honored to help with the decor. I deliver all around the tristate. WV, OH, and PA. I can send you pics if you’d like, and deliver it personally.

Can you email me? Or DM me on Instagram? Man that is great, but to be clear we can't afford it, but if you want to sponsor it, we're game! That'd be awesome! 🙏💯🐍👍💪 Thanks so much!

When around tin and other snake structures you have to have eyes in the back of your head.i was helping my papaw out on our farm and we had a area off to itself that we dumbed old junk at that day I was pulling a piece of siding off the truck and when I stepped back I got tagged three times with a copperhead so instead of being at home working I was in the hospital for three days.so guys be careful while your outdoors around snake structures.

I`ve been bitten three times by copperheads. Luckily they didn`t get me very good but twice I was sick for days and lost the use of some of the muscles in my right arm for over a month. Haven`t had any trouble with cottonmouths or rattlesnakes but copperheads always seem to attack. Cottonmouths have an undeserved reputation from my experience. A copperhead killed my sister`s neighbor when he was picking up trash that had blown up against his fence in Texas. For whatever reason he dropped within feet of the snake.

Watched six episodes today - One of the best channels on KZbin. Do you have a video dedicated to copperheads and rattlesnakes in North Carolina. The copperheads blend in so well with the leaves that I find it tricky to spot them and I am around them all the time.

Not for NC specifically. When I was in NC I usually went out herping with Dean and it was always spontaneous and we'd take off right from the serpentarium, so only personal pics - no filming or anything like that. Very unfortunately. Never thought that there wouldn't be more time with him and I out doing our thing. Thanks so much for watching and glad you are enjoying the channel. Hopefully y'all will come to the Serpent Center when we get open. 💪🐍💯🙏
