Hey! I've been enjoying your channel for several years from Northern California, and i am now living in beautiful Costa Rica 🇨🇷. I've seen some massive boas, cat eyed snakes, and I think what was a small Fer-de-lance...right in my courtyard. It had that unmistakable head shape and eye stripe... they really seem to love the rain for hunting. There are lots of beautiful birds and reptiles as well. I'm going to look into getting anti-venom if possible... Love that big Bushmaster of yours. Hehee!

Very impressed by your ability to breed all the different species you keep. I'm curious about what you do with all the babies. Do you donate or sell them to labs? Nice to see a new video from you, thanks

As an aussie we get some long venomous snakes! Iv seen 8ft king browns "mulga" and nearly as round as a coke can! We had one farm in north victoria on the south Australian border and we called it the snake pit! Without a doubt 10+ snakes a week spotted.. nobody lives there since we left

I live in the south an guarantee you in the wild you wouldn’t grab a rattle snake of that size or length without it being injured or you being dead , that snake strike will break your bones regardless if he intentionally strikes with venom is all in luck

Willy, you re a rich man ,having the time of your life , your lady with you, doing what you love. As long as ,no nuclear exchange, you will be OK ! I enjoy venomous snakes online, I'm scared of them , not non venomous. Your approach is total common sense , others in your craft ,choose not to have. Yes ,free handeling , insane.

how big is the snake
@douglasadams11710 күн бұрын
Myguess is thses snales that are being handled like this were raised in captivity with constant human contact. Good luck doing that with a wild snake.

A Eastern Diamond back rattlesnake bit my Mother in Law -- Poor snake convulsed for 15 minutes before it died. My Mother in Law didn't notice the bite. -- Sometimes I feel guilty for putting that snake in her pillow case.

The first handler I have ever heard say some snakes are mean !!!! I have seen some individual snakes that are mean !!! Nearly every handler will say no snake is mean !!!! That's BS !!!! Once in a while you find a mean one !!!

Why are you holding from the top?? If ya change your grip position and let em hold on to you they won't be as nervous. Your eventually gonna get bitten. Support from the bottom as it would be when crawling. Let the tail wrap a bit. Then, they feel naturally supported. Chances go down.

16:52 that’s one lazy gaboon. I know that’s part of their ambush predators and just sit there like a lump, but usually they strike farther away than that if they’re hungry

Puffs kill more Africans than any other species over there, right Willy? I think most people think Mambas do but because of the Puff Adders distribution across the continent they have the highest kill count. I guess they’re like the Clintons ☠️🤣 … still my favorite KZbin channel, man. I hope to make it to the Serpent Center in 2025. I was privileged to make it to Dean’s before it closed and y’all’s place is a must for me. Thanx for all you do.
@VenomCentral13 күн бұрын
That was the research over the years, that Puffs were responsible for the most fatalities of African snakes. But the last bit of studies I have been keeping up with are trying to show that it's not necessarily true with treatment and due to more extensive venom component research, that state that the venom is slower acting than other cytotoxic bitis venoms; I am trying to share what the actual experts say. And they are oppose each other on that statement, depending on who you talk to. The more detailed research that is done, on venom, on strike acceleration, it's all teaching us that nothing should be set in stone with education. We can always learn something more. To answer my thought, I would still hazard to say that yes, they're still a highly fatal bite because of the distribution and lack of proper medical care. Stay tuned, more to come! And thanks again for watching!

Awesome video, on a snake im quite interested in (in the future). Will you also touch on B. parviocula? Not many people have them but im quite interested in getting one eventually, and I'd like to know how similar their care requirements are compared to Rhinos and gaboons. Happy holidays!

I'm glad the Serpentarium is open and doing well - I plan to come see everything in the Spring. Take care, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! M

Your snakes are always clean, have clean water, and are well feed. Also you do not handle them just to be messing with them and they live like they would in the wild
