Hello ! Thank you very much ! What do you mean by local music ? This song is a swedish one. So, not really celtic, although I play with a "celtic" harp ! But finally, we can play music from everywhere with a harp ! I even play turkish music sometimes !
@yunusbalii4 жыл бұрын
@@AliciaDuCoustel Hello, first of all, I have little music culture. By local music, I meant traditional melody ı think used the wrong term, I'm sorry :) I don't know the language, but the melody reminded me of central European culture. That's why I said Celtic. As you said, the harp is effective in this. I'm also glad you can play Turkish music :) I couldn't see it on your page. I would like to listen.
@AliciaDuCoustel4 жыл бұрын
@@yunusbalii Don't worry Yunus ! This music is more rooted in scandinavian culture which is different from the Celts. They don't come from the middle Europe... But anyway, you're right, the most important thing are the feelings we have with music ! and there is no borders with it ! You can listen to my song in turkish (be indulgent !) on my bandcamp : aliciaducoustel.bandcamp.com/album/komentosilta (the title rozovna ve dikendir)

Very beautiful cover! I think the instruments used by Garmarna in their music video fit the song the best! I'm pretty sure they used some old nordic instruments, which really nicely tune in with the song and it's theme! Could be wrong thought! Also you missed a large portion of the song, which is pretty sad because I think those were the best! Also the pronunciation was, not horrible 😅 As a Swede it was quite tough to listen to it, it was great but the *heavy* dialect brings me out of focus from the melody sometimes! But now I'm just being unfair! Anyway, Love from Sweden! As compensation I bring you this translated lyric! (I translated it myself! :) (This took A WHILE, enjoy!) Early a morning, before the sun upcame Before the birds had started to sing The mountain-troll she proposed to the young handsome man She had a falsely tounge Lord Mannelig, Lord Mannelig get betrothed to me for what I offer so gladly Could be answered only with yes or no If you're willing, or are not To you I want to gift the horses the twelve that walk by the roses a hills Never have there been an saddle placed on them Nor a bridle in their mouths' Lord Mannelig, Lord Mannelig get betrothed to me for what I offer so gladly Could be answered only with yes or no If you're willing, or are not To you I want to gift the mills the twleve that stand between Tillö and Tärnö The stones they are of reddest of Gold and the wheels, silver plated. Lord Mannelig, Lord Mannelig get betrothed to me for what I offer so gladly Could be answered only with yes or no If you're willing, or are not To you I want to gift a golden sword that clang of fifteen gold rings and fight however you in the fight want the battlefield should you still win Lord Mannelig, Lord Mannelig get betrothed to me for what I offer so gladly Could be answered only with yes or no If you're willing, or are not To you I want to gift a shirt so new It's the best in work to tear Neither is she sewed by needle or thread But crocheted by the silk the white Lord Mannelig, Lord Mannelig get betrothed to me for what I offer so gladly Could be answered only with yes or no If you're willing, or are not Gifts like these I would very well accept If you were a Christian woman But now you are the worst the mountain-troll by the näcken and the devils' tune Lord Mannelig, Lord Mannelig get betrothed to me for what I offer so gladly Could be answered only with yes or no If you're willing, or are not The mountain-troll out of the door she ran Shaking she's wailing of greif Had I gotten the me the young handsome man I would have escaped my torment Lord Mannelig, Lord Mannelig get betrothed to me for what I offer so gladly Could be answered only with yes or no If you're willing, or are not
