Herr Musical Cuckoo Clock with Top Mounted Music Box Not Working Right-Adjusting the Music Box

The cuckoo bird calling and then the music box playing requires fine adjustments to have the sequence go off properly on the hour and half hour. After getting them to shut off, you sometimes have trouble getting them to com on. This video shows how to adjust the wires and lever to achieve the correct order of cuckoo and music on and off.

Like you said, it is a little tricky to get it right. I was almost wondering if the lever on the music box, that pulls out of the barrel wasn't sliding back when the music warning was triggered.

What I found was that the lever on the front of the movement (that pulls the wire to activate the music box) was getting hung up in the bend at the end of the wire. I thought about broaching the hole in the lever a little bigger. I straightened the wire as best I could-with it in the clock and space so tight. It's probably going to have to come apart again.
