The Herr’s Mill Covered Bridge, also known as the Paradise Bridge, is a historic wooden covered bridge located in Elizabethtown, PA. Originally constructed in 1844 by Joseph Elliott, the bridge spans Pequea Creek and features a traditional double Burr arch truss design, a common architectural style for covered bridges of that era. With a length of 178 feet, it is one of the longer covered bridges in the area. The bridge was relocated in 2018 to the Stone Gables Estate in Elizabethtown, PA, where it was meticulously restored and preserved. Herr’s Mill Covered Bridge is celebrated not only for its historical significance but also for its picturesque beauty, making it a popular spot for photographers and history enthusiasts alike. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
