Same reason any group hates stereotypes. Not every stereotype is “bad”, but it leads to bad things. What is with an Asian man terrible with math? You mean just because he is Asian he has to be good? Not every Italian kid can cook a ton of Italian food and father’s not connected to the mafia, nor every Irish kid has a drunken father, etc.
