The blue-gray is gorgeous. Your friend Jude feels the same... gorgeous purples and gray...but the pink...oh dear. The aqua/teal sparkle is the one I got tons of and the blue-purple after this is gorgeous! I you got a couple of the coveted cakes. You can say that even if they are not "your colors" they are still attractive colorways. That alone is great because I'm sure people who like the colors 'we' don't care for will enjoy them. I love the cake mystery boxes. It's so hard to not buy a ton of them. Great unboxing. It's so fun to see what everyone ended up with. Super glad you got some that you loved! Thanks for sharing! @@bellascrochetedgifts Aww, I bet it's super tough to love yarn so much and have to navigate that allergy. I'm glad you got a hearty handful of some colors you liked. I ordered again and got all 100% cotton instead of the cotton/acrylic blend ones. I was hoping for more of the teal sparkle or dark blue sparkle but nope. Maybe next time. At least I'll have enough to do an entire cotton box now. I am definitely looking forward to next time. Have a great day, Bella! 💜💙

I picked up a bunch of those mill end cakes a few months ago and they're always gorgeous. The color transitions so beautifully that it's nearly impossible to make something that isn't absolutely stunning. Even the colorways that are not my usual pallet still manage to be so pretty. They're such a bargain at Herrschners as compared to Hobbii. As long as you aren't fussy on your color preferences you really can't go wrong picking some up. I was ambitious enough to make throw size round blankets with a few of them over the past couple years, and countless shawls. The drape and softness is just glorious. Thanks for sharing yours.

Hi Gingerfoxx! I completely agree, it's such a good deal! I haven't been that ambitious to make a blanket yet, but that is a neat idea. How many cakes did you use?

@bellascrochetedgifts I made a really nice. size throw blanket with two cakes. I used the round Lotus flower blanket pattern which you can find a tutorial for on KZbin. Definitely not bed sized but generous enough to cocoon myself into. I also made one of those really intricate Mandala Madness blankets a year or so ago, but I don't remember how much it used.
