Hesacore Installation - 3 Tricks Make it so Easy

I have the same paddle and there are several Hesacore grips available. Which one did you use?

I used a standard M. I have big hands. You don't need the elongated model. I stretch the Hesacire up the handle slightly. If I could get a Large standard that would probably be better but I just put 2 ADV Max Tax over grips and it fits perfect.

So won’t the cooking spray cause it to shift or roll easy after installation during play?

I've installed over a dozen hesacore grips on different brands and models, so far so good. Just be sure to wipe of the excess with a paper towel. I've found there's still enough residual glue left from the factory grip that it sets in and feels very solid.

I got the cooking spray on my hands and it was a disaster :) - please lower the music as a suggestion. I think soapy water would be best for the grip.

Thank you for the feedback! Definitely don't want to get the cooking spray on your hands. I spray it directly on the handle and wipe it off with a paper towel. Works great!

Use hairspray over cooking oil spray, the spray needs to be wet while you sliding the grip on.

So this is a good tip. Most of the paddles I've done were CRBN, and there's a lot of residual glue on the handle. The cooking spray makes it easier to get on. The glue resets and the Hesacire wont budge. I just did a new Proton last night and did the usual routine. Got the Hesacire on and it was sliding all over the place. I had to take it off, wipe the handle clean and use a new Hesacore (first try I also was reusing an old grip, so that probabk6y made it even worse.) The point is, use your best judgement. If the handle is super tacky after you remove the factory grip, lube it up. If it feels slick, leave it alone or add some tack (I used a tourna tac bag, haven't tried hairspray as I'm pretty bald and haven't used that kind of product since the 90's!)
