Yes, Sir. Absolutely, there is a need to conserve this land as an ecosystem. The onus is on the government to ensure that it remains a Greenland & avoid construction activities at any cost. I understand the helplessness of any Government, as it involves a huge financial burden, but the outcome is huge, in terms if restoration of greenery, around a bustling city like Bengaluru, ensuring space for animals & birds, to thrive & sustain. It is easy to convert it into another residential layout, but the ill-effects, could be irreversible & cause irreparable damage, to the already fragile ecosystem, around Bengaluru. We must all not forget the nightmare that Delhi, our national capital, is enduring, with regards to pollution. It is a golden opportunity to avoid that calamity, here. The coming generations, will ever be grateful to all concerned, if this noble task, of retaining the green belt, is undertaken. ❤
