My two year old son Romeo and I went with Grandma to visit Hesston Steam Museum at 1201 E. 1000 N. LaPorte Indiana. My son Romeo thinks trains are cool. He watches them on TV, but he has never rode on a train before. His grandmother (my mom) recommended we take a trip to visit this place in Northwest Indiana. It's just below the Michigan border off of highway 39.
Hesston steam museum offers three different train rides. They have a full size steam engine train, a small steam engine train, and a mini train ride. We went on all 3 trains. They also have a little souvenir shop, restaurant and ice cream parlor, and some cool antique tractors and more. The admission is free but you must buy tickets for the train rides. They were cheap and my two year old was free. We spent around three hours and enjoyed the experience greatly. @SuperStupidPoop
