That settles it. I'm going to get a 2x12 cab and combine a V30 and Hesu Demon. They sound absolutely sick together! \m/ Thank you for this video. Update: I did get a 2x12 and a V30/Demon. Can confirm, holy sh!t. Sounds absolutely huge. They sound really good together clean/edge of break up too.

Great video. I have a feeling that Demon is better overall (of course subjective) in a sense that is more clearer and has a better middle range. However Celestion sounds so much heavier on lower end especially when palm muted (has to have a better bass range). We cannot hear it on the video but can you tell how it feels bass wise when playing both? Is there a noticeable difference?

Hesu is more crispy, I like the v30 but I´ve heard so many different sounds on the V30 online.... some sound cool and midrange but other sound scooped and I´d hate buying a V30 and get a scooped one....

Hesu demon sounds brutal, edgy as fuck, like it better than celestion. Celestion almost sounds tinny. But both together sound great.

Hey! Awesome video, I couldn't decide which speaker to put in my new amp but as far as I heard, their combination is the best to my taste. Demon is too old school, V30 are too muffled, but together, wow, best metal tone I've hear and been searching for. Did you position the mics on the same spot or did you find a better place on one speaker compared to the other one? How did you set your amp to fit both speakers so good? I know that the demon requires less treble and presence than the V30

I'm an Ibanez guy to the core... I've got a Jackson. 2mitchells... Epiphone Les Paul traditional pro 4.... But I swear the 2 Ibanez's just have a feel n tone that I can't explain .... I didn't even pay over 280 bux for each one and I swear they feel n play better than some of the more expensive guitars hanging on the rack..... What type of Ibanez is this here?? It's really nice I'd totally buy one right now lol

For my taste, CELESTION V30 FOR MILEEEESSSSS!!! I find it more modern sounding, cleaner, more fat... The Hesu sounds to old school for me. But everyone has their opinions

There is probably no better way to demonstrate how ice picky V30 is than heard in this video. That centric hump in upper mids kills my ears. Plus V30 has been on so many records it is really getting boring. Demon will be my new go to and my way of being a bit more unique than others.

The made in U.K. Celestion V30 which can be still bought from Mesa/Boogie official store isn't ice picky. It's the made in China Celestion V30 which gives the V30 a bad rep.

@@g.koch. Mesa V30 is the original 90s era made in U.K. Vintage 30 that succeeded the late 80s era Marshall G12 Vintage speaker. Randall Smith didn't like the 2000 era made in U.K. re-voiced Vintage 30 and the Chinese Vintage 30. That's why he commissioned Celestion to make the 90s spec Vintage 30 for his amps.

Demon has better midrange. Celestion sounds slightly muffled in comparison.

Rhys Whyte If the wattage of the speakers are equal then just add the wattages of them both and thats how powerful your cab is If they arent Find out the differences in wattage from the speakers Half the difference and add it to the lower speaker Thats your rating Ex. 2 75watt speakers = 150watt cab 1 100watt + 30watt = 65watt cab
