The singer “Andre van Duin” is unique, one of a kind. A multi-talented but above all a COMIC. For many many years he treated the Dutch with stomachaches from laughter. He collaborated with many people, including the woman (Corry van Gorp) who is portrayed at 1 minute 1 and 3 minutes 55, this duo was together a counterpart of Laurel and Hardy. But also GOLD is Andre van Duin and Andre Rieu together on stage. The text Andre sings is officially by Jean Ferrat with the title La Montagne. In 1965 Friso Wiegersma wrote a Dutch text to the melody “Het Dorp” which was sung by Wim Sonneveld. The text translated into English is.
