Yeah, by having those acts, british soldiers could come into your house whenever they wanted. So many women were raped. Also America wasn't allowed to trade with any other countries for things people were in need of. America was basically Britain's piggybank, and had to pay for that stupid french and indian war even though Americans didn't fight in it.

Oh golly gosh gee don’t fight over this history too 😥 I thought this was the one thing everyone agreed on. Also, in fiction it’s been proven that just because their “boss” or people do something wrong it doesn’t mean that the personification of the country thinks the same way. Examples: Alfred was completely oblivious to Japan’s mistreatment and just wanted to be friends with a whale. Ludwig is never shown with malicious intent during WWII and is just fighting for his country or... people? and... self? (Idk it makes sense in my head. Arthur probably loved his little brother (like so many people loved their relatives or friends living in the colonies) but had to do what his boss said. He probably was just trying to do what was best for his people, oblivious to how it was hurting Alfreda or his people. Remember, in Hetalia they represent the whole country. Not their government or leaders or policies specifically. I’m pretty sure wasn’t exactly ok to Joan’s burning at the steak.

For those of you who don't know the American revolution was a war we REALLY shouldn't have won. Every thing that could have been stacked against us was. We had no money, no organized military, weaker fire power, almost no training. The only thing we had going for us was that we knew the land and that we had nothing to lose. Th only way we win was by basically cheating. In those days Wars were fought on battle fields with foot soldiers in front and commanding officers in back and America didn't have a chance In hell if they fought like that. So they invented Guerilla warfare. Basically they would hide in the trees and wait for British troops to come by ( remember the one tactical advantage they had was the land) then they would just pick them off in an. Ambush. And even then we still barely won

Kate Coman what’s your point then? Regret America won the war just because America cheated in the American Revolution/Revolutionary War? We wanted to be free from Britain’s brutal taxes, unfair treatment of our citizens, and barely any freedom without the interference of British soldiers. British people wanted to end the Revolutionary War when it was too much for them, mostly because of war debt. I’m glad to be born in a country with multiple freedoms, and I respect the founding fathers of America and those who died to protect our freedoms.

Many people seem to forget that Hetalia Nations don’t necessarily represent the government and that Arthur could have loved Alfred even if the Country England did only use the colonies for money. That is what separates Hetalia from things like Countryballs. Hetalia nations are people who coexist with their government and are immortal. In my opinion Hetalia nations represent the people more than the government, +they have their own personal feelings.
