The youngest chick got the big tasty meal while its siblings fell into the human created pit. You hear the two off screen calling for the food, meanwhile the youngest is getting more food than it can hardly consume. Lol. The mom looking around confused. The VO needs to design their obsevation sites better so they dont interfer with the normal activity and behaviors of the birds. By time the parent bird has figured out what has happened it sounds like the pit has turned into the thunder dome...poor little guys. Junior up in the actual nest chamber is in the advanced stages of a serious food coma while its siblings sound like they are almost to the point of eating each other.

ya, seems like normally the chicks when hearing the mother, they would go to the light of the tunnel entrance. But with the side open light or the light for the camera, it disorients them to the brighter light. Think the gap the person made for the camera was to keep them from huddling near the camera, since it might generate heat and they might huddle near it for warmth & also would not focus if they got too close.

The title translates to "fortunate for the little one to have a full meal". Almost like it was staged. You'd think the title would be "fortunate the other two survived". It sounded like they were getting attacked. Especially seeing the ants.

この巣穴は元々こんなに開口部大きいのかな？親鳥は別の方向から来るから撮影用に開けた？だとしたら雛が餌を求める方向を間違えたり或いは落ちてしまったりと罪作りですね。カワセミの雛の個性的な生態を見れて興味深くはあるのですけど。

Слабый должен умереть! Закон выживания! У него проблемы с пищеварением, он не хочет брать еду и не открывает клюв, его невозможно кормить. В природе выживает сильный, который хорошо ест, он даст сильные гены потомству, не надо жалеть слабых иначе они испортят генофонд!
