The streak-eared bulbul is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds. It is found from Thailand and northern and central Malay Peninsula to southern Indochina. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. The streak-eared bulbul was originally described in the genus Criniger.
The chicks left the eggs today this morning. Parents flew to find food for them. When they arrived at the nest they saw ants beginning to bite their babies. Both parents helped to pull ants out of the nest. They take a long time to peck until the ants are gone. Then the parents went out to find more food to feed their babies.

@@dmannnnnnn6934 That's right plus they need extra protein anyway. Those babies eat alot at that stage.every 30 min or so. I hated when they put a nest in my wreath. Maybe one reason was I don't know if the other shoved the one baby out or what but I stepped on it and it died.There were 2 left after that . The parents were always flying back and forth . They never flew in the house but I couldn't wait until they moved to a bigger nest .

Когда пришла пора им покидать дом, один вылетел и сразу полетел самостоятельно, второй полетел, да не туда, а в соседские кусты , а третий остался в гнезде. Так эти родители ещё четыре дня их опекали, кормили, бдили! Все живы, прилетают пятером к нашему дому поздороваться, посидят на проводах и летят по своим делам))))

I was quite relieved to see BOTH parents start picking off those pests!!! They were even stopping them at the source, back in the tree! YAY!!! I hope the person who was filming put some kind of ant killer at the base of the tree. The fact that they stayed there as long as they did cleaning them all up as team work, is astonishing! there is a nest above my kitchens door . few days ago I noticed that the little bird was moving too much .. I was concerned about it .. it was night I looked and noticed a line of ants on the wall reaching the nest .I washed the wall with watet .. then tried to splash some water on the little bird . the weather here is very hot .. so it was ok. after about 10 min. every thing was ok . and I was happy .

I assume dislikes are from pple who’s rather see these birbs “rescued” by the humans filming, ie birb-snatched (SO common in the US with any wild baby creature “presumed” to be “abandoned” and helpless). This video shows how precious the young are to both parents, and should make people think again about intrusive “rescues”.

Simply brilliant. That’s how parents must be and not enforce this help on kids when they grow up and don’t agree with their parents view. Saving kids is parents duty and not an obligation. Who agrees? 👍💁🏽‍♂️
