HEWES REDFISHER WORST BOAT EVER | WHY YOU SHOULDNT BUY A USED BOAT

Ok'd this is a classic example of a boat you should never buy! If you are looking for things you should look for when buying a boat, watch this! I bought this as I drove 2 and a half hrs away and the guy selling it wasn't very straight forward with how bad it really was. Once I looked it over I knew this boat was a basket case. I negotiated him down to a point I bought the boat anyhow only because I knew I could turn around and resell the boat for a few more bucks on Facebook market place. I ended up making a couple hundred buck to help pay for the fuel but this is a boat that I could have easily lost a ton of money on if I hadn't given it a good pre buy inspection!

So you make a clickbait title calling a hewes redfisher the “WORST BOAT EVER” because you bought a piece of shit hack job repair of a most likely salvage titled boat? You constantly keep saying you aren’t going to repair it so why did you just dump $3k down the drain? Over a 2 1/2hr drive? Jesus Christ dude I have a 94 redfisher thing is a beast, beat hard for its entire life span with no breaks and it’s solid as a rock. Full composite construction with 0 soft spots or major cracking in almost 30 years of use. Don’t bash an entire brand over a bad purchase

I doubt at all that 94 redfisher is in original condition then, I bet someone before you dump a bunch of money into it fixing it if yours doesnt have any issues. Every Hewes ive owned has needed a transom, stringers or floors. Thankfully people like you are out there to over pay for junk boats.

​@Knotts Fishing idk bro I ran the piss out of my 98 bayfisher for 10 years. Never had any issues with her. Boat was solid as a rock. Bought it for 6,500, sold it for 6,500 a decade later.

@@KnottsFishing grandfather bought the boat from the original owner In 2000, knew the owner since he bought the boat new in 94, boat has been in our family ever since. Sat on a lift for 10 years with use nearly every weekend, got a new engine in 2007 and full rewire in 2011. Recently got a full refit by me, I'm a boat electrician by trade, new trolling motor, hds 9 live, active target 2, full Rockford m2 sound system with jl mm100 head unit and 5 channel jl amp, new batteries, full rewire again, switch panel, teak accent panels, and lumitec lighting all around. Did gelcoat touch up around the sides and deck from chips and holes over the years, and sea decked the lower deck because the boat had been used so much the non skid was nearly gone on the entire deck and I preferred not to put awlgrip on a 100% gel coated boat. Not a single structural repair needed or done on the hull since it was made and I can bet my life on that. And yes the boat has been USED, 100 hours every season since purchase. Running waters from north florida all the way to keywest. Anyone looking to buy one of these boats: do a real inspection do not trust your buddy who shows up with a six pack and a hammer to be the guy inspecting your boat, especially If you’re spending thousands of dollars.

No it’s Hewes, they are responsible. Not me. Every Hewes I’ve owned has had a cracked transom. They are in my opinion all in this shape or will be soon!!

@@KnottsFishing maybe slow down when you hit the speed bumps or train tracks. My redfisher is 18 years old and absolutely no structural issues. My dad drove it up on some rocks outside the fort Pierce marina. No cracks. Just scratches, some deep one clear through the gel coat.

@@PlayingwithKnives911 highly doubt speed bumps and railroad tracks are the issue, its consistently the same brand boat and same cracks. This one was click bait but Ive had 3 other with exact same transom cracks.

I have a Hewes Redfisher and I'm fixing to sell it. It needs repairs but I'm not going to do any half ass repairs like this. That's screwing people. I'll give the buyer a good price and let them fix it professionally. I can't stand stuff like this. This is straight ripping people off
