I ran trail 172 last weekend with a buddy...nice trail. Lots of people out there over the holiday weekend. Almost all the camping spots were full and tons running trails, bicycles, sxs's, quads, 4x4's, and motorcycles. Keep it up, enjoy your videos.

Glad you enjoyed the trail run. It is funny but I have never once seen anyone camping out there. You should do the entire loop. It is a nice ride.

@@Trail89Adventures I am hoping to get back out there before the heat of the summer and do more. First up though is explore more of KOFA, I have only gone to Hoodoo Well and back so far & really want to get to the mines and ghost town as well as other areas.

@@JT_Adventures KOFA looks like a cool place. Have driven by on the main road between Yuma and Quartzite but haven’t actually been back in there.

It is & next time (hopefully this winter) I plan to go in that side - off of 95 to get into those fun areas. I went in from the phx side and it is nice but not as many fun things to see. @@Trail89Adventures

Thank you for this up to date video. I say that because I had driven this road before the 2018 fire. n, when the road was re-opened, I may have bee the first to re-visit. The forest service had said that the road would be open at 6:00 A, M, I got there a little early because I thought that there would be a long line of vehicles there.. No, it was only me. When I got to the road split towards Rogers Trough I noticed that the trail sign was missing. I mentioned that to the Mesa Ranger District. They said that the Payson Ranger District had jurisdiction. Mesa must have contacted them because your video has confirmed that a new sign has been installed. They placed it on the side instead of the middle, Thank you for the video confirmation of the sign. Ther are many trails to hike in that area. Also, many roads to follow. Thank you for showing them to us.

Have you done Millsite Canyon (a little to the west of Hewitt -- I think they connect up near Woodbury Trailhead)?

I haven’t run that trail. I believe the forest service closed it. We did help recover a couple guys that were back there though.
