**Practice tip: Play Powerpoint karaoke!** If you want to audition and you are here because you want to get as much information as possible, here are some thoughts from a person who worked with several streamers before: The auditions are basically an aptitude test with several stages. The point is to see how well you can show that you are an interesting person, and in which way. This is why your audition video needs to originate in YOU. If the livers were allowed to say what worked for them, people would maybe try to copy that. But as a streamer, you need to be able to make entertaining content out of almost nothing. So trying to copy someone elses work would basically be already a failure in the first test. Being inspired by someone should be ok though, this is how creativity works. So look inwards, or maybe ask other people what they like about you and what you're good at. Remember that talent can be very abstract, not everyone can draw well or is extremely hilarious, but maybe it is easy for you to build a comfortable atmosphere or you can lead a group well. Also remember that "entertaining" and "funny" are not the same. And then think about how best to showcase your talent. Apparently, the visual aspect of the audition video can be quite shitty, as long as it shows your character and strengths in any way. I'm sure the people who have to watch all these videos are thankful for creative and unusual ideas, so don't be afraid to go crazy if you want to! As for streaming experience: Hex mentions that having at least some experience is kind of a must. Which is very understandable: Imagine Nijisanji finds a talented person, gives them a contract, pays for the model and everything, provides the infrastructure and prepares them over months - and then after debut the person notices that streaming is not for them. That would be a disaster for everyone. So if you have streaming experience, they can be sure that you actually like the job you're applying for and they're not investing time and money in a person for nothing. It also means that your skills of talking into the void don't start from zero. (EDIT: The newest application form specifically states that streaming experience is a must.) I don't think viewer numbers matter to them, tho. Because those are, to some extend, luck based anyway. So just stream for a while, even if your audience is only friends and family. I would assume that the only chance to get through without any experience is to have incredible talent, something they feel they absolutely NEED in the company so much that they are willing to ignore the missing experience, or if you are one of those people who are super outgoing, who can find friends in 10 minutes, who can freely talk and be naturally funny even in front of hundreds of people. I met someone like that the other day, and I assume for this kind of person, streaming could feel quite natural. If you want to practice making interesting content out of almost nothing, I highly recommend playing Powerpoint karaoke: You hold a random presentation you've never seen before, so you are forced to improvise and ideally, you come up with a very entertaining presentation about the sex life of bonobos or Shakespeare's sonnets or whatever. There are websites providing presentations for this purpose. Another tip if you are very scared: Consider thinking of your first audition as practice, and only actually aim for the audition after that. See the first one as a scouting mission, to understand their expectations and how high the bars are. See it as practise for making an interesting first impression. This is a tip sometimes given to people who are scared of job interviews - you know, applying for jobs you don't even want to get job interview practice. I really hope you have success! 🙏

This is excellent advice. Even looking at some of their most successful talents, some of them started off thinking they had to be fully in a certain character, and they when they really started to let loose, their popularity zoomed even more. Being authentic can be such an important thing. Even if you're presenting yourself as a character, it has to come from something honest and real. The best actors on the planet know that. With streaming, when you have a character, it needs to be a character who you can continue to perform as for at least the 12 months Nijisanji is asking people to agree too. Do you want to play a character that you hate or that is so different from you that you can't keep it going, or do you want to play a character who is close enough to who you are so that it feels like second nature when you stream? I've seen a few people post their failed audition videos on youtube, and the most common factor I see is that they're really, really flashy, but they don't have much substance. You don't really see who they are as a person, but rather, you see a lot of hype and energy. Going by what many members of Nijisanji EN have said, they don't just choose people for the flash. They choose people with character. They choose people who they think can get along with the other streamers, they choose people who are creative, they choose people who are willing to work hard. So if Hex or Aia can get in with a black screen video, and yet those with the flashy, highly edited, high energy videos don't, it's something to consider.

@stacyaaa I'm sure you have more strong suits than only art! And if it is one of your dreams - practice can get us very far! I had no clue about video editing 6 months ago and now I earn money with it, because I took it seriously and practiced a lot :3 So don't give up if you don't have the skills now - you could have them in a few months!

What do people consider a potato pc? Because if he can stream, play and use a model, compared to mine, he has a beef pc. If i give mine to him, he'll start to worship his pc 😂

Good question... But I can't imagine your specs are important for their decision anyway. If they like what you do and want you in the company, they wouldn't reject you *only* because of a bad PC, I assume...? Because that would be dumb. Tech is literally the easiest thing to change. If needed, they probably lend you some money for better parts and you pay them back as soon as you can.

im pretty sure nijisanji will actually give you tech. dont quote me on that obviously but if they pay for your vtuber model and rigging etc, i cant see why they wouldnt pay for a new graphics card or processor lol

@@vampyro111 Pretty sure they give you an iPhone for the face tracking. I don't think they necessarily give you anything else, because Petra streamed (streams??) with a laptop for a long while. But if you really need an upgrade then yeah, I think they would lend you some money. On the other hand, though, Mysta dropped into Raelice's stream the other day and said something along the lines of "Having a great personality isn't enough, because there's a lot of people who have a great personality and a decent pc." So I can't tell for sure.

@@jay5010 True, it's not completely clear how they do the financing, I heard opposing indications as well. Maybe it comes down to individual agreements with the livers. What they pretty surely don't do, is to send each liver an entire standardized set of setup tech. Because then everybody would have a GoXLR, Hex wouldn't have a potato PC, and Nina wouldn't have trouble with her mic stands all the time because apparently she keeps buying shitty ones lol. So it seems that everyone is responsible for their own setup, but I genuinely can't imagine Nijisanji not helping if necessary.
