I love the trap bar I have one at 1 of 2 gyms that I go to; it’s so versatile

For years I did back squat and I only built my hamstrings and glutes because of my biomecanics and I used leg press for my quads but then I decided to make a home gym and because I don`t have space for the leg press I decided to buy a trap bar. Now I do the trap bar dead squat with more upright torso and my quads become gigantic. It`s a great versatile tool and I use it for RDL so i don`t need to use straps because I don`t have to worry about the bar rolling and my grip strenght went up.

Does it can be used to build glutes too? I would Like to train the whole lower body with it.
@ROTVAJLER833 жыл бұрын
@@caiquesilva2752 It can if you use the low handle or if you are a taller person you can put something under your feet. Some people can build their glutes just by doing regular squats and some others need a direct work. You can also try to make a pause of 1 to 2 seconds and hold the bottom position or you can pre exhaust the glutes or use some glute activation metods before doing some of the squat variations. But at the end it all comes to the individual body type, leverages and biomecanics, you need to experiment for yourself and find what works the best for you.

Can't wait to get this biceps healed so I can get back to these. I love this exercise. All around lower body work, hits the upper back hard and works the erectors safely. Very versatile as well. Stay more erect and it hits the quads, more hip hinge and it gives the hams a great stretch.

@B Bracken Thanks for the kind words. Just passed the 2 month mark since surgery, doing full upper body workouts with light (VERY light) weights, back at work on light duty. I'm taking advantage of the setback to really hit all of the little accessory/support muscles: rotator cuff, lower traps, serratus, etc.
