There are still some more details for anyone interested: -Briar's healing from her abilities would stop this, but auto attacks even without lifesteal also heal her, since auto attacks apply the passive. She can't use any abilities, since all of them heal her in some way. -Briar should be lvl 18, since leveling up would also increase her current health -for the same reason Briar cannot buy any health items after going to 0 health without stopping the bug -we took adaptive runes, so Bard had to buy a Longsword after selling all items. This makes AP go even lower, but if you don't buy a Longsword afterwards, do not take adaptive force since it will prevent you from going negative. -Infernal drakes on Bard's team make this easier, because it increases the amount of negative stats after Mordekaiser's steal as well

Hey, in the video you said that a minion could be locked in 0 hp and would end the game by itself The only ability I know that can heal minions with an AP ratio is Janna's ultimate, could it be possible to maybe heal a minion to 0 hp? Maybe casting the R inside Morde's Ult when it's about to finish would make it reduce heal because it doesn't check the stats instantaneously? Some champs that would help with this would be Syndra, Yorick, champs with walls that could keep the minion trapped Just an idea, tho, it might be impossible right know without a bug that made people have -AP without Morde

Fiora Ult heals all allies including minions I think, if you take Sylas to steal fiora's ult, the health per tick will be in bonus AP, then make morde reduce Sylas' AP to a negative number and you can make minions with zero health with a negative AP sylas using Fiora R

That's an interesting setup but I think it would still require Sylas selling an absurd amount of AP while in morde ult. Fiora's ult's base healing is too high.

Nice idea, but... In order to have negative AP, you have to be inside the Death Realm. Or be dead. Also, you have to be inside the fountain (in order to sell your items). Sadly, minions don't get inside the death realm. So you would have to proc Fiora's ult as Sylas when minions are around, get ulted by Morde, run at your fountain, sell your items, get enough negative heal to set minion's health to zero. I don't think it's feasible in any current circumstance

Baron regens very, very quickly, so much in fact that League devs even stated that if the dragons ever attacked Baron theyd never be able to kill it because their % current health damage will reduce their damage to Baron at low hp enough that he will start outhealing them

Now that I think about it, a champion that'd reverse the effects of incoming spells would be quite fun to interact with. Soraka's ult now damages allies, and Karthus's one heals his enemies, for the most simple examples.

I once survived death with 0 HP. I leveled up the same frame as I took a tower hit (that should have killed me by at least 200 HP over) and somehow didn't die. But of course I instantly healed from regen.

That was most likely because u actually lived on less than 0.5 hp, which is technically alive, but because the hud only shows integers, it got rounded down to 0

@@kiskidiego current health (as well as maximum health) always rounds up to the next largest integer in your display, you can check this fact by looking up a champion whose base health is between .0 and .5 in the first decimal place somewhere between level 2 and level 17 via the wiki, and then comparing the in-game displayed health value to it. Back when Revitalize was a new rune, it had an oversight where it also amplified negative healing. This amplification happens AFTER health costs cap their numbers to leave you at 1 HP, so if they were Mordekaiser or Mundo or another health cost champion, this was definitely possible. It could have also been a different bug but I'm unable to guess exacties from their comment alone.

@@bytes021 It's only possible because Briar's passive means her health regeneration is 0, this would not work on any other champion in this way, so it's specifically an interaction between Briar and Morde, and both are equally as important to make it work.

While you can make a cooperative effort to get negative AP by selling items within morde ult, what happens if you LOSE items within morde ult, with a healing ability set for a teammate? Like, if Viego takes a 1000 AP bard body, places a healing altar, gets morde ulted, then goes back to being AD viego? Will he have negative AP? Will the healing altar still be available? And if that specific example doesn't function, is there not some other way via "losing" items?

That’s a good idea, requires one more player but it can be do outside of fountain and you don’t need to waste gold if you mess it up.

Already casted abilities don't take on count stats decreases or increases. However it the ability is still on the air (or ground?) It will take on count if you level up that skill in middle of the skill way (for example ashe' s or Morgana's I).

Ideally there should be a bugfix for negative healing to systemically never reduce you below 1 health. All the health cost spells do this manually right now, which is not ideal to begin with.

There's a separate way to get them, where if you kill a minion at the same time you gain vision of it for the first time, your local client spawns a copy of the minion at 0 health. This copy is fake, which is why you get no server response from trying to attack or cast spells against it, and which is also why it receives no new AI move commands from the server an just stands still. Because it is a vision interaction bug, everyone on your team may see it. The enemy team will not, however.

You mean blue potion runs out during Mordekaiser Ult? That would work, the problem is that this gives you only -5 AP. Because of base values, Bard's W would still increase health, not decrease.

executes just kill the target regardless of health. The wiki says that it deals 100% of the target's current health and bypass shields. I'm not really sure how that'd work with briar since it's supposed to be damage, and should deal 0 damage.

They strip your shields with the same function Renekton W and Blitzcrank R use, and then deal 100% of your current HP as unmitigatable damage to you (still respects Invulnerability however). You can see these numbers in Death Recap. The displayed damage of the hit is overridden to round up to 999 or 9999 or the likes. Since it is damage, and 0 health makes all damage events fail (even the fountain attack's, which has the same damage tags *except* it also ignores invulnerability), they will not kill Briar either.

I've actually had minions get stuck under turret with 0 hp, maybe it's just a visual bug or genuine mess. Either way, the minion is just stuck and won't move, has 0 HP and is untargetable.

yeah that is just a visual one which happens from time to time, I think when there is some desync with the server.

No, because those also use damage under the hood. They obscure the exact amount, but the Death Recap shows you that they deal 100% of your remaining current health as damage.

lifesteal applies to the damage dealt by the autoattack, so in this case you will deal 30 hp of damage, and heal 7% of that

Take this with a big grain of salt, but if I understand it correctly, you get 7% of the AA damage dealt to the enemy as life back, tho I can be wrong

Damage can overkill a target just fine, therfore you will heal for 7% of the 100 damage it does deal. You can test this in the gaame relatively nicely by hitting low health minions with a lot of AD and lifesteal and then checking how much it heals you. The damage number on the minion will always be your attack damage's worth, and you do lifesteal for the fitting amount of that, no reduction to consider the target's remaining health!

It can't work with Kindred bc her heal doesn't have AP ratios. You need a heal that scales with AP (or AD with sylas), but also has a low enough base heal that the negative AP ratio is greater than the base.

they know about alots of bugs but fixing is a differents story, and some bugs are so hard to do. They give like a list of knows bugs of every patch to pro players, so they cannt abuse in competitive play

Honestly Vandiril wishes he could be as good as this. It saddens me that he's gone from a cool bug focused channel to just mind numbing hate posting about the game over the smallest things and then extending a 30 second video into a 5 minute long repeat of the same clip over and over with just a different coat of paint. Glad to see a channel actually talk about the bug in question, explain it, and show off some neat interactions without all of the "Riot is a shit company" oozing out of it. Keep up the good content.

Shouldn't this be as easy as checking if hp would be < 1 after an attack to trigger death? It's so weird to me that somewhere in their spaghetti code 0 is invincible. It makes me wonder if invincible targets in-game are set to an invisible 0 health since it technically never should be achievable. Given that there is clear evidence that most things are treated as units (including spell objects such as Trundle's spike he summons), maybe those have 0 hp until they are despawned? But then why do they show taking damage at despawn? Or maybe it's reserved for items like the river fruit which is untargetable AND doesn't go away until it times out or within reach. Maybe special items like these have 0 hp to prevent them from being despawned. But just a bunch of wild theories. Weird glitches like this are only going to get worse if Riot doesn't fix the core code. It's as if they're running this off of World Editor still... it blows my mind how glitchy the game is. It made sense at it's origins when the game first came out (given where the devs came from), but Riot should've fixed this years ago. The worst part is that Tencent likely doesn't see the financial gain in fixing issues so never will. Instead they just distribute Vanguard maliciously as a false attempt of security for users.
