So loooong RED! Miss Vanessa is here in all her fabulousness and evilness! I have always loved Vanessa as a character, and I feel like she doesn't get a lot of love. I cannot wait to show you guys how I translated Jessica's Vanessa into my own Little Mermaid Live Action realm, and they look sooo amazing together!

Such a beautiful doll. The face, the hair, the silhouette. The more historic skirt shape works so well with the Disney princess top. and the victory rolls are great with this look. As a dress history nerd I must say this is a great example of something that isn't historical at all (because it isn't meant to be of course) but invokes the feeling of the world. It fits in the world of the little mermaid. It clearly shows the style of the designer but it has all the important details so we know who it is when we see it. It's invoking the animated dress instead of competing with it. I think most live action remakes try too hard to reinvent the iconic costumes. Hextian's version is great character design

The original Little Mermaid was always my favorite fairy tale. I read it over and over when I was a child. This doll finally does Vanessa Justice. Just beautiful!

The doll is great, however you're a fabulous Vanessa yourself! Perfect evil attitude, perfect voice. So perfect a Vanessa I was half expecting you to climb the vanity and smash a bottle doing so. Someone should make a table and mirror combo for the sole purpose for you to reenact the mirror scene in the original even smashing disposable ornaments like she does. I think you'd find that fun and truly satisfying! In both versions she smashes an ornament. In the original she steps on a bottle as she climbs the vanity, in the remake she smashes a vase with either a hand mirror or a hairbrush.

@@HeXtian You know if you have the necessary resources you could reenact the original Vanessa mirror scene for a Halloween video in the future. Just a potential idea. All you'd need is a large cheval mirror, a sturdy table dressed like a vanity strong enough to climb, a bobby pin to throw at the mirror, a disposable glass bottle or similar to break and a white slip dress. Did you ever want to do that scene as a kid?
