I'm not sure people have managed to grasp what Mat & Co, have achieved with their latest album?! I had written off Hexvessel as a hippie collective that ate itself and then they release Polar Veil - their magnum opus! This record has had such a profound effect on me no other "black" metal album has managed in the last decade. Thank you Hexvessel/Svart - the vinyl is already a classic in my collection!

Absolutely incredible! The essence of this, nature's ever present raw and potent extremes, amplified from a whisper to a roar. Elemental ferocity channeled perfectly into the expression of song. Hexvessel doing the inverse to what bands like AnathemA and Ulver did is a conscious creative choice I have plenty of time for.

I can assure you, that riff is 100% traditional Black metal. Most do not really get the genre, they only think Burzum and Immortal, not Manes, Fleurety, or Ancient. @@alexandrumihai-dan5484
