@@LearningGilmour I still have a Spellbinders t-shirt in my dresser. LOL. Used to surf the pump house and the casino. I live in Kansas City now. I stopped playing for a while and just picked it back up a few weeks ago and Shine On is my go to which is what drew me to your channel. Hope it going well!

A Seagull! Seagull and Godin guitars are awesome and generally affordable. Just hard to find 'em hanging on shop walls in the US to play them.
@LearningGilmour Жыл бұрын
I couldn’t agree more, I bought the seagull from guitar center about 8 years ago, it’s a solid top, which was unheard of for $500 at the time..solid cedar top , cherry back and sides, great electronics inside… I haven’t seen one on the walls in years and sold out or not available anywhere new anymore… glad I snagged it when I did!

I've been using the same vox amp past 3yrs it's all u ever need...The electro harmonix rams head big muff is a pedal gilmour used a lot for solos too...
@LearningGilmour10 ай бұрын
It’s a really gorgeous amplifier I’m really loving it. I’ve noticed I definitely have to keep it loud for it to sound really proper. I keep the gain right around. I want to say 10 11 o’clock volumes up probably around 2 o’clock is either all the way down or all the way up and the trouble in the base I usually keep around like 7 o’clock. It seems to be the best sound Out of the amplifier that I found so far if you have any other settings that you enjoy, I would love to hear. I have a big muff pie by electro harmonics, but not the Rams head. It appears I need to find me an overdrive pedal of some sort as well as he didn’t use a lot of distortion. He used a lot more overdrive, so I’m gonna look into a good overdrive pedal, thank you so much for stopping by the comment watch lesson remarks it really really helps me out and I really appreciate it. I hope you have a great weekend.

Compressor should be first: then phaser, then distortion, then chorus. Then delay.
@LearningGilmour Жыл бұрын
Definitely have my compression first the dyna comp comes first.. my question is where does a loop pedal Come into play? Where in the chain? Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out with advice.. I really appreciate it. Also where in the chain would the big muff go? Thanks a million..
@JulesVermeij Жыл бұрын
@@LearningGilmour I'd put the looper all the way at the end of the chain! As for the rest of the pedals: of course there's no single "true" answer, but in most cases it would go like: compressor -> distortion -> modulation (in your case, chorus and phaser) -> delay and reverb. You can always play around with the order to see the difference for yourself! If I'm not mistaken, for the guitar solo of Time, there's a delay placed before the fuzz/distortion in order to give it a more prominent, aggressive sound.

Thank you so much for the advice and info, def learning pedals and direction of flow, I see Gilmour uses 2 or 3 comp/fuzz/distortion pedals in a row, instead of using overdrive he splits his channels plays multiple comps in a row, I just watched this crazy interview about his setup… I have a lot to learn so everyone of you who reach out to help will only make things better! Thank you kindly!

I just realized I had my pedals backwards lol.. I see what you mean comp coming in from the guitar first… bro I’m so green and new with pedals… thanks so much for the heads up!

Hi, I just found your channel. I'm looking to learn Pink F. songs as well. You remind me of myself. I also started on a Taylor, a 414, and own a Seagull acoustic. Also, I live in S. Jersey, and around the same age I think, lol. I have been self teaching but would also like to take my playing to the next level, specifically PF. Have you heard of the Keeley dark side pedal? I was wondering if that on pedal would do the trick? Good luck, keep it up!
@LearningGilmourАй бұрын
@@Theclassiccarnut hey where in south Jersey? I’m in Belmar? Let’s get together and jam? I saw the Keely dark side pedal, but I really want to invest in individual vintage pedals with the old circuits that give you that exact sound.. seagull is an amazing guitar hardly anyone knows about these! All solid wood cedar top wild cherry back and sides silver flame maple neck! Love it…

Yea I wanted to get the MXR brick but the shop told me go with the one spot, I don’t play out I play for fun, so it’s probably overkill, but I’m the kinda person that wants to have nice toys.. thank you so much for taking your time to watch me and comment it means a lot to me..

Bro, so I use to have a LEGO business and a KZbin channel with well over 1000 subs, my whole den has been a store for many years, Finally I sold the whole business and purchased all the equipment you see… the den was always a store my wife hated it, now I went and made it a family room, it helps that both my daughters 13/15 both play guitar or Ukulele… you’ll get your den someday bro… thank you for watching, you can live through my den 😂😂😂 Seriously thanks for watching
