Baka San My daughter was actually the same!! She was jumping all over the room. She was born in 2002, and seeing how long ago the show came out she absolutely loved it and was hoping for this to happen. My daughter was also sad, because she thought they couldn't save Arnold parents, but Helga saved the day! OVERALL, my daughter loved it just like you. She's such a fan of the Arnold show & the two movies.

In that way your kind of wrong supernatural elements have always existed. The never been center stage but they exist in thier world . Haunted train , stinky being a vampire, ghost bride are all things that exist in their world .

That's true, but it always felt more tame and mysterious in the show, keeping the show still grounded in reality. I felt this movie was stretching it with the supernatural.

i don't think it was that far of a stretch, the Arnold chosen one just seemed like a self fullfilling prophecy, or some thing kids might make up wainting for their parents to wake up. (i hope his parent's where awake to watch them for a while 9+ years no adults seems odd with the number of kinds there) the dispersal of medicine was a tech thing. the only thing that seemed magical was the shining rock decodering, but that's just a kind of a decodering. The only thing I give it an oddness for was the setting was for the most part out of the city, but it is the Jungle Movie

Juan Strong It's the sleeping sickness for me. I know it was mentioned in The Journal episode but his parents being asleep for 9+ years and waking like nothing happened is too much of a stretch. Even in The Journal it was said that the Green Eyes might've died out if the parents didn't find the cure meaning it's serious. Instead, it puts you into the sleeping state where you can remain perfectly fine for years albeit some gray hairs. Even if Hey Arnold had some supernatural moments in the past, there was limit, keeping it a slice of life show and not becoming a fantasy.

I'd say the movie did its part, and solved one of the Nicktoons greatest mysteries, granted while it may have seem predictable, it had its moments, and I personally think that the series should continue on from, "The Jungle Movie," whatever the creator has in mind is up to him. I just hope if the series continues, it'll still have that same charm it did in the 90's/early 2000's. -SamTheThomasFan2

Yeah it was most certainly not rushed, especially since we had to wait so long for the reunion lol. The bad thing I think we can say is some stuff was a little bit insane and didn’t make sense, like the fight with Sombra and how they escaped the jail cell. That’s really it though, overall it was really well down :)

I don't know what to think about the movie. I like it, but I kinda don't like it. I missed the deepness in this whole movie. I wihsed there were more feelings, more emotions, longer emotions (Like sadness and something like that) and maybe more hints that Arnold loves Helga. But it is a kids movie, so I think its fine like that. Anyway, I would still LOVE to see a season 6!

Iwarin I respect your opinion! I kinda agree. In the movie, I liked how when Arnold was crying because he couldn't win the trip, helga wanted to help him and she made the whole video happen. I also liked how she saved his parents at the end because of her gold heart that she's been having of arnold for decades. I feel like there was so much tension between Arnold and Helga through out the movie. But they do need to add more. Overall, it was a great movie!! 10/10. I hope there will be a season 6.

Iwarin I loved the whole movie. But maybe I was kind of hoping for a little more bittersweet moment after Arnold's parents reunite. I mean they were sick for 9 freaking years and yet they're still walking fine and aside from some hair growth they haven't shown any signs of aging maybe some wrinkles or something. I would have at least thought they would have to go to a hospital for their conditions, you know civilization and all, maybe have to use wheelchairs for the meanwhile or something. The "Green eyed" people were just kind of there, not even a cheap explanation of why they all have green eyes. I'm just nitpicking here but a little harsh reality would have been a little more appreciated to me, in my honest opinion. No matter Hey Arnold finally have a happy ending and I can love it. Wish they can make a season 6.

Yeah, I have some very complicated feelings about this movie. I mean... It is embarrassing how hyped I was about this movie. When I started rewatching the series, I thought, I won't care as much about this as I did as a kid. Boy howdy, was that ever wrong! Although I loved the show as a kid and I did feel Arnold and Helga's relationship... I mean, I feel like I did had a pretty good grasp on things, but there were also things that I missed, like the fact that Arnold sympathizes with others in part because of his own loneliness over his parents. And that's one of the most important and heartfelt aspects of Helga and Arnold relationship-- they both have something important missing in their lives. I wanted to see that highlighted so bad! And when Arnold opened up to her with, "Do you ever feel like you have a hole in your heart?" I wanted to see that developed, because to me, it really meant something that she was the one he said that to. I wanted her to talk to him about her own family, and... I was so disappointed that it went off in another direction. Helga felt kind of off to me, like... I get that she wanted to hear how he felt about her, and she was (rightfully) upset with him for ducking out of her confession. But she also knew what he was going through with his parents, and it didn't feel right to me when she was so hard on him. In the series, I felt a strong connection between the two of them. Helga showed that she did love Arnold in a selfless way in Arnold's Christmas; there, she was more concerned about his happiness than getting him to love her. And when they talked, they had some seriously mature conversations, about love and family and their own complicated relationship. Here... Arnold felt very young, and... I dunno, they just didn't feel like the same characters to me. I still felt certain moments between them, and yeah, I fangirled the fuck out at the end. But... It's actually seriously bugging me, because if this is canon, it makes me feel like the characters I knew and loved aren't the same anymore. I know, it's fiction, anyway, but I can't help feeling that way about it. I didn't want any of this to bother me; I wanted to feel like everyone was the same, if a little older and wiser. But I can't lie to myself, this is how I feel.

I LOVE Hey Arnold. Coming from a TRUE 90’s kid, I thought the movie was great. It provided me the closure I wanted all these years. All that being said, I do not want to see a season 6. There’s no way to keep the integrity of the show intact in this era. Kids want fart jokes and weird dancing and Hey Arnold isn’t that. They would have to change it to keep views. I think it’s best to leave it at the movie. The classic episodes are great. I don’t want to ruin a good thing

That isn't entirely true. Many modern shows such as Gravity Falls and their large fan followings are proof that kids today (or even slightly older demographics) would also want more than just fart jokes and weird dancing. Teen Titans Go! really must've convinced you all a little too much.

finley rodriguez you’re literally proving my point. Almost all of the shows with substance (regardless of their following) have ended. The ones that are still on the air are getting crappy advertising or wonky air times. Whatever network uses the show to build up a following and drops them as soon as they’re not willing to “play ball”. I understand that it’s a business tactic. Also, since you brought it up, I’m actually a big fan of TTG. I think it is hilarious and refreshing. I just don’t believe that there should five other shows like it

This movie was fucking amazing, they did a great with the characters and the graphics were beautiful. The charming jokes and such kept me chuckling and if you forgot everyone's character they do a good job at naturally reintroducing their personalities and quirks. I had gripes with it like everyone else(the predictability, the fact that everyone quickly forgives Arnold for whatever, the conclusion was a bit rushed through but heart warming nonetheless) I gave this movie a 8.5/10, it would've been a 9 or 9.5 if they did a recreation of the original opening either at the start or the end, but they did remix it here and there

I feel if they green light it, then Bartlett might face the same fate that Butch Hartman is going through, and just wants the series to end so bad that he's created characters ( sparky, poof, Chloe) JUST TO END THE SHOW!!! But yet it could end up like post season 8 spongebob, and it could be great!! But personally, the jungle movie was a perfect end to a brilliant series, and We can finally end "Hey Arnold," knowing that we've got everything we've waited 15 years for.

This, like the fifth season of Samurai Jack (to me) provided such awesome closure. Which is something much of television often fails to do. The shows that reach a point where closure is necessary just keep on going. While other shows that reach a point where an ending SHOULD happen just end up getting canceled. Such examples of shows not given proper closure include (at one time) Hey Arnold, Sym-Bionic Titan, Littlest Pet Shop, T.U.F.F. Puppy, Dave the Barbarian, Young Justice, Green Lantern: The Animated Series, Wander Over Yonder and others. The time has come for these popular shows to get the proper endings they deserve

I liked it. It did have alot of plot holes but is still for kids. They did take it a little more violent. In the walls crushing down, if you looked down you could see blood. It was nice to be able to watch it. I was born in 99 and I grew up with that 90's-2000's blend of tv, I loved this movie. Its like when you go out of state for college and come back and meet up with your best friend. I would be happy with a season 6 EDIT: I dont know why all of yall are acting like you grew up with this. Like saying oh I watched this and im 30. First of all the first episode didnt air until 96. So stop acting like its such a surprise for me being born in 99 watching this tv show. It was still airing new episodes when I started watching

Some people have been hating on the end when Helga rips her hand away from Arnold, but it's not what it looks. She didn't do it because she didn't like him, she did it because she was still in shock. She was surprised that Arnold felt the same, so she still loved it, it's just that she needs to ajust to it, also still trying to keep a tough girl act together. I mean, think about it. If you found out a crush liked you, you'd be in shock/excitement to. I really hope there's a season 6 because we need to see Arnold and Helgas relationship grow and also Arnold and his parents.

I think it was also because she doesn't want the other kids to tease her. Remember in Helga on the Couch in her flashback, the other kids started making fun of her for liking Arnold, so she put up that "tough girl" front to avoid ridicule and hide her feelings her Arnold. Helga and Arnold may be in a relationship now, but Helga probably doesn't want everyone else to know.

The Jungle Movie was amazing. The voices and some of the animation could've been better and the ending was a bit rushed (Arnold and his parents reunion should've been more emotional and they should've shown Phil and Gertie seeing them again in the jungle), but all the twists were brilliant and the final scene really threw us for a loop until we see his parents really were there. But I absolutely loved it, and if there aren't any additional episodes it would be just fine because of the excellent closure we got. It was well worth the wait. Thank you Craig for getting this done!

I'll admit I had some issues with this film, such as the predictable plot points, including modern technology in a late 90s setting, some obvious CGI shots, and not having the rest of the characters return for the climax (though those last three are mostly nitpicks). But even with that, I was blown away by this movie. The characters were still their lovable selves, the humor and music are just as excellent as before, the animation was beautiful, and the emotions were powerful. Overall, The Jungle Movie was definitely worth the wait after all these years. As for a sixth season, I'm kind of on the fence about it. If it happens, then I would love to see the growing relationship between Arnold's parents and the other characters, along with Helga and Arnold's romance. But if there won't be one, then I'm fine with that. The movie already satisfied me.

To be honest, I enjoyed this movie for what it was. However, by the 3rd act, the film stopped feeling real to me. One thing that Hey Arnold! had was that because it was set in an urban lifestyle, it felt a bit more grounded. The third act has Arnold as the "chosen one", a society ran by kids, Arnold's parents in a Sleeping Beauty sleep for 9 years, and a heart shaped locket that can activate an ancient mechanism that rains green medicine. But, those definitely feel more like nitpicks. Either way, I still enjoyed it.

Supernatural occurrences aren't that strange for Hey Arnold. It had some episodes that showed supernatural moments in Hillwood. One I remember is the ghost story about some sort of ghost woman searching for her dog and killing a man in the park and the ghost returning at the end of the episode to possibly inflict the same damage onto Ernie.

The Jungle movie was beautiful. I was blown away by the animation. As soon as I saw the clouds in the opening scene I knew it was way too good to be a made for tv animated movie. Instead of season six, I kinda want The Pataki's spin off show that they planned way back. They didn't do it back then because they thought it was too dark for Nickelodeon, but since Hey Arnold is one of their biggest nostalgia properties and the intended audience are grown adults now, I think i'll be perfect on like, teenick or something.

Will Helga's parents finally stop neglecting her, and will Olga finally become a better sister to Helga --- as in actually know her. Will there be more Harold and Patty? Will Rhonda finally make Curly her boyfriend/servant? What will Gerald and Phoebe do as a couple? And what will they choose to be once they're grown up?"

I too loved the movie I felt it was a little rushed at the end . I would have liked to hear from Arnold’s parents exactly what happened in their own perspective during their last trip to San Lorenzo and how they became infected with the sleeping sickness. Did they come to realize that their son Arnold would be the only one to “cure” the sickness as he’s clearly depicted in the pictures. Did they sacrifice themselves to the sickness instead of risking getting their son involved ? Why didn’t they escape in time was it because they made closest contact with them that last trip where as before they would drop off the cures and never actually came in direct contact with green eyed people? I think we got some good answers the rest is up to our imagination I guess. If they do make another season I’d like more answers from the parents perspective on their time in San Lorenzo.

Even though I would love to see a sixth season of Hey Arnold, it wouldn't be easy to pull off. While I do have faith in Craig Bartlett (the fact that this guy came back to show that's over a decade old for an encore shows that he obviously has the love and passion for it) today's audience of children is very different to what it was back in the 90's. I would think a good reason for this show to come back (or atleast for 'The Pataki's' to be greenlit) is that we need a show as emotionally powerful and heartwarming as this one back on Nick. While Spongebob is improving it shows it's age and The Loud House is dancing dangerously close along the lines of 90's throwback cartoon and mainstream sellout (keep in mind I like both of those shows). So should their be a sixth season? It depends. Not all kids today care about fidget spinners and twerking, and are not nearly as stupid as most say they are. I believe kids today can enjoy this cartoon if it ever has a sixth season, and rerunning the series would aid in the process of its potential return. It can happen, but with all cartoons nowadays you must take certain risks to make it happen. Sorry for wasting your time with this long comment.

My only issue with the movie was the end *spoilers* when Arnolds parents wake up and even after they all go home arnolds parents have ZERO emotions at all. Just completely bland contentment. Even after they get back to the boarding house they have zero emotions seemingly about being home. They oddly follow arnold around and had a hard time grasping the concept he has to go to school. I get they left when he was about 1 years old and theyve missed a lot but we know they at least lived in america most of their lives so them being so confused is rather disappointing. They have no personalities. At all. Rest of the movie is amazing.

I've literally never watched Hey Arnold before this movie but I had a lot of fun. It was predictable, but even as someone who doesn't already love these characters, their strong characterization here made me love them. And little things like the beepers were set up IN this film so I was able to enjoy it in a way that made me want to go back and rewatch the original show. The art in the original seasons doesn't look good imo. The scene where Helga confesses her love to Arnold was particularly great.

While I really liked the movie. I didn’t like how convenient everything was for everybody. I could be wrong, but I think the Jungle Movie went through a script rewrite because some scenes and original concept art was not in the TV movie. Honestly when looking at the original storyboards that were done years ago, I feel like the Jungle Movie was supposed to be more deep and serious instead of the campy movie we got. Regardless, I’m a huge Hey Arnold fan, so I can just be happy with the fact that we actually got this movie. Even if it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be.

After watching Hey Arnold reviews of the shows and movies, it got me more motivated and emotional to watch the show entirely and learn more about it. I would definitely learn the character's perspectives in their daily lives and what life-learning situations their going through. Seeing the reviews to Arnold's Christmas made me want to cry from understanding what the story was about even though I didn't watch it yet. I felt very shocked that they ended the show just because the movies didn't do well in some ways to the creators. Just because the movies weren't good to them doesn't mean it has to stop the show when everyone was loving it. I never even saw a single person claim that it was a bad show. I really hope that Hey Arnold can continue to it's sixth season and onward. It should be like the way SpongeBob SquarePants is by being one of the longest running Nickelodeon shows and continuing with plenty of more seasons with more better stories for fans to love Hey Arnold even more. They should do a third movie to Hey Arnold and make it a story like the episodes were so everyone can love it.

Hey Arnold the series is so good. It give you that fun slice of life adventures, just giving you a fun show to watch. Then it hit you with meaningful lessons. I think about Helga on the couch. Where you see the reason this little girl burst out in rage, and anger is because how hurt and unloved she feels. It shows how emotional neglect can affect how you behave. Or the Christmas special. How beautiful that storyline went. A daughter and father reuniting after being separated from war. How giving a gift to the one you love is more important. Hey Arnold really gave so much humanity in the series :')

Craig said he has no intention to make a season 6 as of right now. The film didn’t get enough views due to the child audiences not caring about it. Only grown up fans who grew up watching it. So many fans would be in a rage if Arnold hadn't gotten his parents back, and we already had the sleeping sickness established from The Journal. Really the only believable scenarios were that they either died, or succumbed to the sleeping sickness.

I think this movie works best if you’ve seen the original tv series. They should have aired certain episodes before they aired the movie. They should have aired Parents Day since it was our first look at Arnold’s pain over his lost parents. They should have aired Helga on the Couch because it showed us Helga was more than just the main character’s tsundere love interest. They should have aired the first movie to establish Arnold has known about Helga’s feelings for a while now. And they should have aired the Journal to set up the Jungle Movie. Having watched those episodes and the first movie before the Jungle Movie is important in being able to really appreciate the new movie. Edit: Oh. And a season 6 would be fantastic! I would love to see Arnold and Helga’s relationship now that they’re dating and how Arnold’s parents adjust to their new life after being in a coma for ten years.
