I like it!! the layers are so complex (esp the vocals which are gorgeouss), i cant beleive its your firstt. but yeah music production is like a black hole lolll, it kinds sucks for perfectionists esp because it can literally go on forever, tweaking eq, volumes, layers etc. I would say taking a break from projects helps alot. (sometimes I work on something so much its like Gestalt collapse, doesn't even sound like music anymore...I have to make myself export the track a lot, which basically forces me to move on and stop messing with each individual sound.) Once you defamiliarize from the song you're making, Its usually way easier to tell whats wrong and how to fix (or what to do for the next song: giving up on a song is fine! I do it all the time.) but yeah, the learning never stops lol, but you do start to make more and more that you like. 🍻cheers to the first! 🥂 but also ive only been doing music production for like a year so im mot an authority or anything xD. youll probably find your own best practices the longer you do it 🍀🤍💫

YES I feel the same, it's so frustrating 😫 it's like every time I open it, there's something wrong, but then it's still not better after I fix it. Yeah, you're totally right about defamiliarizing from the song, I think leaving it for a while will help me see the bigger picture better 😥. Thanks so much for the advice and encouragement ☺️☺️ (exporting the track throughout the process js a good idea, I might start doing that lol) and good luck with your music as well! 💪

This is a lot better than my first tries at producing LOL so don't worry about it. Keep at it and you'll keep improving. You should be proud of yourself

in terms of feedback I would say that the biggest thing that stood out to me preventing a groove from starting was the percussion you used. Nothing terrible though, just getting experience writing in different grooves and stuff will help a lot. Also your mixing has gotten so much better once you got your mic!!

I saw the thumbnail on this one and thought you were going to rap this time.. XD 02:55 ; the second set of ahh's are kind of a nice little break.. but I guess it depends what you were going for. definitely seems like there's a lot going on with this song .. like you were doing a lot of experimentation. Definitely treat it as a learning experience. Also, maybe just my opinion, but try different percussion tracks .. I think the primary drum track was kind of distracting and detracted from the entire piece.

Hahaha rapping could be fun to try for a video 😂 Yeah I was really crawling my way through this one. I see what you mean with the drum beats bc when I listen to it, it sounds like either my voice is out of sync or the drums are out of sync. Either way, they're out of sync in some places which really bothers me lol. I struggled with figuring out what to do for drums lol...definitely a learning experience 😅
