Hi Tyler thanks for the lesson its great ,what would make it easier for me being a senior citizen, is at the play along stage if you could display verse chords and chorus chords as you are playing , like at the beginning instead of just the words verse and chorus because I'm watching the video and the old memory doesn't always remember all the chords .thanks again

If you are even semi-proficient with Guitar Chords, playing the uke will be a breeze. For instance, on a Guitar, the position of the D Chord is a G Chord on the Uke.

hi im playing acoustic guitar and thinking of buying uke, so how different and how similar is playing ukulele to guitar? :)

Hey man, that is a great question. How long have you been playing the guitar? The similarities are there, they are just hidden. The Ukulele has the same tuning as the guitars D-G-B-E strings, just starting from the 5th fret making them G-C-E-A. So the pentatonic shapes are the same, just have the size, barre chords are the same, just with the top cut off. I have found really cool chords on the Ukulele that I have taken to the guitar as well, like this really nice Am11 shape that I like a lot. As far as the playing though strumming can be quite different, especially if you play guitar with a pick. You would learn really fast though all things considered.

Oh that's interesting I didn't know that. I have been playing guitar from notes for a year but then made a break for 1,5y And couple months ago started playing with chords. So if i would play on guitar 5th fret an uke bar chord i would get sound that i would hear on uke? What do you think about Stagg US10 tattoo uke? Its fairly cheap and reviews are pretty good. I thought i could put some Aquila strings on it later on. Thanks for a full answer man!

MrMantas1234 A ten dollar Ukulele is worth 10 dollars. They are a great place to establish your addiction to the Ukulele, but you will want to spend around 100 dollars once you really get playing. Aquila strings do make a really big difference though, a tattoo Uke with those strings would sound good and it would be a lot of fun to play. If you put your capo on the fifth fret and play the highest four strings you have a Ukulele in your guitar! The only difference is the "bass" string on the Ukulele is an octave higher than your intuition, which really takes awhile for guitar players to get there heads around.
