It's Always nice to see a upload from ya north. I myself have been in a gamedev learning journey. Been learning Game Maker Studio as well for my 2D games while learning UE5 for my 3D ones past few months. While I'm learning houdini for quicker way to make levels with.

Awe thanks! Game Maker is a solid choice and you can’t go wrong with UE5

I also started with GameMaker, but I have plans of putting a pause on that and try make a different game in Unity. I wonder which is easier

Would love to see a vlog about the hard decisions and comparisons made when switching from GameMaker to Unity. Unfortunately, as I'm interested in GML development, I tend to unsubscribe from project vlogs developed within Unity.

Look out for one soon. I think as a gamedev it’s important to explore options and keep challenging yourself. I actually learned how to be a strong gml developer by developing in other languages and engines.

@@NorthGameStudio this is a very good point. I did veer towards Godot a year ago, but being as time poor as I am - I can only work with so much. The recent GM updates have been impressive enough for me to keep using it. Keen to see your next post on this topic - not sure if you'd want to through Godot in the mix too.

It's hard to find the time to post update videos huh? Ha. I'm the worst at it. I wanted to post about my licensing deal and new writing work. But that was a few months ago now, so I think I'm a little late.
