You can also prove him your love and show him your trust by marrying him as a one-packaged deal without ever needing his financial security without him. It can go both ways. I'm not telling you to give up that core value of yours. If you require a regular marriage, I'd advise you and any other woman to discuss this with their boyfriends early on. If the man avoids giving a clear response, you can walk away and avoid wasting your time on him.

My parents arent married and they been together since they were 16, he never left, cheated or treated her wrong. My grandmother was never married to my grandfather and when he passed she never married her current male friend who she met years later and never had any issues with either. My aunt is married and her husband is anywhere but home, ive only seen the guy 3 times and they been married for 10 years. It's just plain selfish. This man and many others just use women and erode our self esteem. We need to tell them to 'get lost' and believe in ourselves more.
