Have you ever wondered why there are so many boss battles that involve a big monster that has eyes in the palms of its hands? Brian David Gilbert has wondered that, so he decided to look into it.

Design-wise, every experienced player knows these two things: 1) Hands deal damage 2) Eyes are weak points So of course designers will slap those two together and add nothing else, thus creating the most barebones yet iconic video game monster. But you should still watch the video because it's cool.

It gives you 55gold, not dollars. The buying power of a single gold seems quite low considering how stuff at the bar are all 100g or more. The exchange rate is probably more 1g=1cent so 100g would equal 1 dollar, putting blueberries at around 55cents per bushel.

@@xxgirl101xx presumably gold is a lot more plentiful in the stardew valley world. I don't know if you're still looking for a reason to show them, but if any of them have an interest in video games, you could tell them this an interesting video in regards to game design. Maybe show them some vids by Design Doc or Razbuten's "What gaming is like for a non-gamer" series, or even a few of Gaijin Goomba's Yokai Hunters videos to get them in the mood, then hit them with this when they least expect it.

I don't know if you're still looking for a reason to show them, but I recommend making a 2 story, self propelling, steel hand eye monster and send it to demolish your house. Then tell them that the only way to stop the terrifying monster is to watch the entirety of this video. I would also recommend adding a massive thermite bomb inside the monster that detonates after 7 and a half minutes.

@@nahometesfay1112 Spotted hyenas are massively social and they have a frontal cortex more similar to humans than any other non-primate mammal! In fact they've been shown to solve cooperative puzzles faster than primates, often the primates had to be trained to work together for food! But hyenas hunt cooperatively they're success rate in hunts is higher than lions! Lions are more likely to scavenge off of a hyena's kill than the other way around! They live in clans of varying sizes based on the prey near them, smaller clans around nomadic prey and larger ones around prey that doesn't move, the not nomadic clans have more hierarchy than the other ones! In all spotted hyena clans the dominate is always female with the least dominate female still ranking above any male. I know even more but!! I just love spotted hyenas!

@PyromaniacDelta
@PyromaniacDelta 4 жыл бұрын
Good start, but we need the Twilight Zone Twist. How about the amulet protects you from one home invasion by forcing the would-be burglar to take it to a new home and give it to another complete stranger? The recipient wakes up to find a bunch of valuables in the middle of their living room, but the only thing missing is the amulet. Cut to the burglar slipping into a house warming party, and reenacting the opening scene with the new recipients, then stepping out of the party and slowly realizing the spell is broken.
