Nova was signed to Def Jam, a while back. They were grooming her tobe a ‘Brittany Spears/Beastie Boys’ hybrid. This is not who Nova is but it was the Nova they wanted. When they dropped her from the label, they stabbed her in the back (she found out when the apartment manager told her the label wasn’t paying her rent). She swore she would never touch a keyboard again - That is the significance of the piano in the video, she is ready to play it again but as the “New and True” Nova. If you replace “HEY YOU” with “Yo, Def Jam 🖕🏼”, you get a sense of what Message Nova is trying to convey to them. #hangovergang forever 🤘🏻🤘🏿🤘🏼🤘🏽

Her real name is Nova Lee Paholek, Ukrainian descent I believe. Canadian like Tom, They first met in Edmonton, Alberta, About 16 years ago. Tom did the beat for her, her older brother did the drumwork.

She's not necessarily going to go off on someone just for the sake of it. But if they come after her she can definitely hold her own. That's not necessarily a negative in my book. Someone who is going to go off just for the sake of it, that could be a negative. Someone that can defend themselves, and come out better for it, that is a positive

Oh boy Nova is Awesome love this song. They wanted her to be a rapping version of Britney Spears which in my opinion with Nova's talent that's just insulting. She's an author, singer, rap artist, on top of being a videographer and more. Honestly putting her in a box with untalented ppl would be just wrong. I'm glad she's not with them anymore. They were just a hindrance or obstruction getting in the way of her full potential

So as anyone with eyes can see she is a petite beautiful woman, and 10 years ago she was just out of her teens so pretty much a perfect sex symbol the label wanted her dressing like that if you watch her music video's from her def jam days she is dressed to that fact she is doing things in the video's that she is uncomfortable doing and she is so talented musically it just took away from her lyrics rather then accent them. From what I have deduced along the way she was dropped because she wasn't going to continue to be that sex pot so they wouldn't produce any of her rap they put her to work instead behind the camera, which is where she learned enough of it to become the one we know and love today.
