I did this to my bathroom a couple days ago! It took hours! I threw out two grocery bags full of stuff that was old, expired or admitted I'll never use! And reorganized with a set of plastic baskets/trays I got at winners. Felt so good!

If I may recommend - take picture of the decluterred pile of stuff you get rid of and keep it in your phone. Next time you want to buy something new take a look at it and it helps to rethink and limit your shopping a lot 👍🏻

32 weekend pregnant right now and in the same state of cleaning and decluttering my whole life before 2024 and before baby no 2 😅 after New Years we bring all the baby stuff out of the storage so having clear space to organize it is going to be great. This may seem bonkers but I ALWAYS keep several good dvds for the times when our internet is out! (At least a couple times a year, the last time for 4 days) it pays to have a little something for emergency’s or at least on a usb drive. It’s welllll worth what little space they take up for sure!

I just finished exams after 2 years of studying for my degree. We also live in this apartment for 6 years now and I literally feel like drowning in stuff. I would never get rid of hard copies of movies we love. You can't trust streaming, and even if you 'buy' a digital copy, it's really renting. They can revoke your access.

I'm only watching this today but let me tell you this video was such an inspiration! I immediately started cleaning our flat and will continue to do so in little increments every day. I started with our entrance area because it felt so cluttered and disorganized. Now it feels clean, organized and relaxing to come home again. I then moved on to the bedroom and as I've already gone through my closet yesterday and donated a few items there was only little work left to be done. I love your energy and how you kept going even though it felt overwhelming and exhausting at times. It feels so good to clean, organize and donate every time I do it. And it makes the process even faster the more regularly I do it because I already donated what I don't need any longer and I see which items I should not have bought in the first place because I hardly ever used them. And just because I'm curious: did your luck improve in hindsight on 2024 after you decluttered that little mirror with the crack right through it?

for games and dvd, i advise cd organizers(there's a lot of different sizes and they are easily found in thrift stores or others), you get rid of the big case but not the actual game or movie amd is easier to store and carry around! ;)

I think you should remove the bookshelf from you room and put it in the living room/kitchen area. put decorations and things that are pleasing to the eye, like the games, and then the things that are eyesores, you can put it in the drawers instead. I hope that makes sense 😅😂❤

Great job! Doesn’t it feel great? I need to go thru my entire house and just toss toss toss! Maybe I’m old, but I hate getting rid of photos. You absolutely cannot trust “the cloud” or something of that nature to keep something at important. To many hackers and who knows what out there to feel they could keep them safe forever. I would never! They make great cases for photos, like the Iris brand. I put all of my family’s old photos in a big clear plastic case that holds numerous 4x6 cases of photos.

I've been decluttering over the past few years and started leaning towards the more minimal but this is the one thing where I have digital but I think I want to get a curated selection printed. I'm not really a fan of displaying photos because for me they just end up blending into the background but the thing with me having all of these digital photos on my computer is that my family never get to see them. Especially my daughter who features in 99% of them. I think it would be nice to have a photo album where they can flick through them. I also have concerns about the cloud in case I forget where I've saved them with so many different cloud services or something happens to them. I think the cloud is good as an off site back up but I also want to enjoy looking at them. Scrolling through the Pictures folder on the PC isn't quite the same.
