As far as I know and understand URI is a place in India and it really happened in real life when pakistani terrorists came and attacked Indian soilders
Therefore, India retaliated and invaded the territory of Pakistan, occupied the Kashmir region and destroyed the terrorists in their homes
And there were no attacks the other day
Uri: The Surgical Strike is a 2019 Hindi-language action-thriller film based on the 2016 Uri attack.
Plot: The film follows Major Vihan Singh Shergill (Vicky Kaushal), an Indian Army officer, who leads a team of soldiers on a surgical strike against the terrorists in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Production:
The film was shot on location in Serbia, Thailand, and India.
The surgical strike sequence was reportedly one of the most challenging and expensive sequences ever shot in Indian cinema.

In India we don't have compulsory military service. Every person is making a voluntary decision to join the army. Besides the regular army India has a huge reserved army called the Territorial Army. Yeah so about 1.4 million soldiers. Therefore, even case of war, a unique conscription law comes into action where Indian citizens can again volunteer to fight for their country. India is filled with youngsters who would any day be ready to defend their country. I know I would.

my district have highest numbers of soldiers in Indian army 🪖 and some families have 4 generation in army , if you go for a walk in early morning you'll find a big group of young boys practicing and exercising for army everywhere,and we also have highest numbers of marteyes for country, every family have atleast one army guy , and i feel sad that I am not serving for my country 😔

I will tell you why these people become terrorists. In 1947, India was divided into two parts: Pakistan and India. The king of Jammu and Kashmir was Hari Singh. He said he would not stay with India nor with Pakistan. He created a separate country. Just a month after independence, the Pakistan Army attempted to include Kashmir in Pakistan by attacking it. Then King Hari Singh asked for help from India and included Jammu and Kashmir in India. Then the Indian Army went and started pushing back Pakistan. The United Nations ordered both to stop the war. Since then, 40% of Kashmir is with Pakistan and 60% is with India. This was the first war between the two. After that, Pakistan attacked again in 1965 but lost. Then in 1971, there was a war again and they lost. Then in 1999, they attacked again and lost. By then, Pakistan had realized that they could not take Kashmir from India by waging war, so they created terrorist groups, trained them, and made them attack the Indian Army across the border. To know more, you will have to watch a documentary on Kashmir.

The Pakistani army is strong as they cut off most of their country's budget for military but they still lack behind because of corruption. Indian military is much superior and has won every conflict against Pakistan including the 1971 war where Pakistan surrendered 93,000 troops and lost half of its country.
