I had massive issue with a xiaomi the messages and also phone app caused me massive issues . Also kept reverting from google keyboard to the china one it drove me nuts

Like in every other "review" I've seen, you forgot to mention if all the three "main" cameras are capable of raw shooting and full manual mode (white balance, focus, ISO and shutter speed)

A little warning, maybe better off to wait until the global version is released. You can not access oppo login without account created using chinese numbers. Also there are some chinese characters can't turn off even with English setting, really annoying. I have returned mine.

This is not for vloggers or selfies but for those who love photography. Not every phone needs to cater for everyone. I never use the selfie camera, so this device is ideal for me.

It only has 1080p 30fps. It's video portrait mode is truly awful too, BUT the rest of it's video is sound enough especially it's 4K 60fps. It's stabilization is not quite up to S23 Ultra and IPhone 14 Pro Max standards, but it certainly is good enough in my opinion. There is no 8K but this is not an issue to most of us.

@@Martin-mb5iv, My exporter, advises that there is no Google Play Store support ATM, so I am holding off to see if that changes. Sadly, OPPO is subject to Nokia patent disputes, so they have decided to pull out of the big Europe countries (including the UK). I suspect we will not see OPPOs in Europe from next year. Rumour suggests OnePlus will also pull out, and VIVO will likely follow in due course.

The best camera on a phone but doesn't have the best pictures from a phone. But actually Oppo makes some of the best designs and displays phones in the world. I'm still using my Find X2 Pro and it still runs like SD Gen 2. I also like the way they can support their phones with software updates. I'm running Android 13 on it.

Oppo is upgrading while Samsung is downgrading, especially with their middle flagship s23 plus with only 10 mp telephoto 3 instead of 12 and no qhd and their aspect ratio is trash after the s21 they went from 20/9 to crappy I phone screen at 19,5-9 ratio

No one buys Samsung in China, as that market is far more consumer-friendly than the US, which bans Chinese phones. So Samsung has about 1% of the market in China. They get a free ride in the US due to the (effective) bans. Sadly, this anti-China sentiment is spreading to Europe, with OPPO and OnePlus likely to pull out of the region due to EU laws and patent trolls. Xiaomi has decided to expand, which is excellent, but for how long...

This would have been my phone except I wanted a front facing 4k 60fps and the s23 ultra was the choice for me! Never leaving Samsung again! I'm amazed about the 2500 nits brightness. Blvery beautiful looking design.
