Thank you Toby! Great job!👍👍👍 Despite so many negative reports about China in the German and Western media, but young people have their own opinions. This is really a nice surprise. I am very happy for these young people and for Germany. A critical approach to media in the German education system certainly makes a good contribution. The most of Germans that I know personally are actually very open, friendly and well educated. It is a pity that most of the media, especially the public media, only report negatively about China in a very one-sided way. As a result, the image about China is not good in the public mind in Germany. My husband is a German. He has visited China several times and therefore knows the country well. He is very disappointed with the German media. He reads a lot about China, compares the sources of information several times and also analyzes the logic behind it. Unfortunately, the current media reports about China in Germany are very often of very poor quality, full of prejudices and disinformation and completely accompanied by ideology. And the most of readers do not have the time to think about and ask questions about the information fed in by the media. Six months ago I attended a presentation on the Opium War. In the Presentation, the young political scientist said that China feels herself still a victim of the wars and it is not appropriate. He commented that China would be little aggressive if she could give up her role as a victim. What a strange argument, even from a political scientist! Who is aggressive? Is China an aggressor? Isn't China a great victim in the colonial era? If you know history, you know that not China, but Great Britain, had, out of greed for money and for power, waged these brutal opium wars against China and violently captured Hong Kong as a colony. Has Britain ever apologized for this? And did the colonial masters at that time feel sorry with the populations they oppressed and exploited? What great rhetoric! I was really astonished at such arguments. I am therefore very pleased to see your channel and your great videos on KZbin. You are sincere, courageous, objective, independent and communicative. Keep it going! I look forward to watching more great videos from you in the future.

Oh yeah, agree. They blame China to feel victim when China WAS actually one, these people should know it's not only about feelings but facts. It's like to take away even the right of crying from someone who already suffered a lot. This kind of "opinion" or call it whatever we want, lack of humanity and common sense, sounds really brutal. And especially from a so-called "expert", ridiculous! Not saying that we need necessarily to cry. Actually China did huge progresses on diverse levels during the last decades, we never made ourselves as big victims even if the number of Chinese people killed during the SWW was around six times of Jewish people. Oh talking about Jewish people, I doubt these "experts" are blaming China to play the victim role just because they actually still feel guilty about what they did during the past as country, and have big fears that people who were real victims to stand up and ask for the revenge. I feel so sorry for German people nowadays to have this kind of "experts" who speak nonsenses on the media. I don't think these people who still hold a grudge and deep sense of guilty for what their ancestors did have really a clear mind about what justice is. I just suppose they may be deep down some kind of unconscious Hitler supporters, that's why they need to blame the real victims so they consequently can somehow keep themselves "clean" while they are totally not. They should stop playing the role of "victim blamers", which sound much worse than a simple victim! In Chinese: 受害者有罪论。 Greets and thanks for stimulating me to comment!

Love China ❤ no matter the government, people are the best! Kind and there to help a foreign person if needed. I think everyone should be aware of media, negative or positive, we all need to look at both sides and make our minds.

@@羊崽GoatcubsCan I say that about Germany too. When USA say jump you ask how High. Go travel and u will find out. Lots of Germans in Shanghai.
Thanks Tobi. Just need to remind people, media, doesn't matter which country they are from. they are not neutral. Don't listen to one side of the the story.
It's uplifting, this video. Gives one hope that the world isn't entirely unintelligent and truth would unfold one day. Your work is greatly appreciated.

One should even try to binge watch vlogs from expats living in China, provided subtitles in their native language if they can’t understand English and Chinese. One should not be overreliant on one platform
Understanding people sometimes may have biases towards other countries, that’s normal. However, these interviewees are trying to be objective as they can, respect their honesty❤ we welcome foreign friends come and visit China!

@@swss-p7pI'm Japanese and I think the same thing. Everyone says anime anime, but many people think they understand everything by watching anime. I like China. I am studying in China now. I know that it is inevitable that people hate my country, Japan, because of what it has done in the past.
I have just found out your interesting video. Not bad to find out the opinion of your people. I am living in Germany too and have the same feeling the young people don't like China. Hmmm. . Btw, I am Malaysian. 但是我看得懂中文也会说中文。
Danke for your video. I am your new subscriber from Hong Kong. I have been living in Germany for a short period. Thank you again for your effort to let other people understand China.
