Honestly never cried so much in a film, naomi blew me away, incredible performance!

I agree. I was just looking for something to watch while I ate dinner. Then there's that early scene right after the wave hits, and she's clinging to the tree. The screams she lets out shook me to the soul, and that was the beginning of a two hour tear fest. Very well deserved awards and nominations. Not something I want to watch again, for some reason. 🙂

using big actors gives it more coverage. Mari has said in lots of interviews she didnt want them to mention the nationality as it was a universal experience

What do you mean she didnt want them to mention it? X
@zfdh21084 жыл бұрын
@@veiwer96 I think she meant that she didn't want it to just be portrayed as a British family or Spanish family, because many nationalities are involved and suffered too. That's why she didn't mind the changes made to the family nationality and names

because some kids were left orphaned after the tsunami. I can only imagine the nightmares & post traumatic stress disorders survivors are still going through now. :-( Yes, Naomi Watts was excellent in this film. Ewan McGregor and the boys who played their sons were excellent. Even the blond haired boy from another family was great, too. Lots of good acting. Many vulnerable, heartwrenching, cringe-inducing, powerful scenes in this film. More people should watch this film.

One hell of a great movie, incredible actors and acting. It touched me deep simply because I lived 2 years in Thailand, I had planned to go for a vacation where the Tsunami struck but been called to work in Peru instead, I visited Khao Lak after the disaster, talked to real people who lived hell on Dec 26, 2004. I could feel the pain of every acting scene of the movie. I don't know why I am still alive while 284 000 died that morning... it was not my day. Anyways this is a fantastic and touching movie that receives a BIG 10/10 from me. Cheers and appreciate life as much as you can.

This movie seemed as real as you're ever going to get to what occurred there on that day. It was a day of monumental tragedy and monumental courage love & how the best of us (& some worse) come through for others in dire consequences. Fantastic movie. I hope the dead can rest in peace, their story is told!
