For a real fact check, when the accusation came out that he was a homosexual, it was denied by him and lawsuits were sent in regards to defamation of character against him. It was also said his wife started that rumor because she was upset by the divorce. And in 2024, it is said that they are remarried. I know people love to accuse preachers of being gay because that's the best gossip, but if you are going to present the facts, present all of it.

Idk God knows. I remember choirs were a thing back then and as a young adult I would hit all the concerts. One thing completely obvious was most of the men in the choir (the Bishop Owen’s church in DC choir used to back him when he came to DC) was that they all were gay or catty. One day I was invited back stage and I was floored. I had never seen so many gay men openly chatting, laughing, lumped up it was wilddddddd. Tongues hanging out when they talking, leaning on each other like girls do, etc. They also were openly using profanity and acting like they didn’t just come off that stage praising the Lord. In my heart I was truly discouraged and mad because its people really trying to live for God and I felt duped. I knew then that you cannot have a church full of homosexuals and not be in some way in touch with it. Sorry! Getting that peak behind closed doors showed me all I needed to see and I’ve never forgot. It was no surprise to me when years later his wife divorced.
