My local transmission shop says no one is rebuilding these HF35 transmissions, so good for you. They said Ford is asking $8.5k for a new one, just today. My 2014 FFE with 107k miles has a lot of whine while driving, especially with regen, but is mostly quiet at idle. I've just changed the ATF for the 2nd time in 15k miles, and this time added some Motorkote (7 oz) and now it is quieter, but not quiet.

Ford was aware of the issues on the 13 and 14 Fusion Hybrid and CMax. Had a service bulletin in 2015. Mine started this at 112k

@@BWASRawk dealer refused to do anything when I called at 9.5 years since it was still working, just noisy. Now the warranty is expired. And they said my particular transmission was not covered under the recall.

Great video, My experience Is the Ford engineer required the wrong ATF. That roller bearing should never fail in proper fluid. Roller bearings just like that bearing will operate for years with small grease inserted. Great video.

You got twice as many miles as I did. Mine's getting diagnosed right now at Ford dealer. It has 96,XXX miles. I'll probably take it elsewhere. I imagine Ford will overcharge.

@@adamanderson5055 Warranty is 8 years or 100K. Mine started doing that at 97K. Took it in at 98.5K. They kept it for 5 months waiting for parts. Finally got it back a few weeks ago. It is like new. No more noise. All under warranty. Got a loaner. Had to pay for a new battery which is pretty low cost for what would have been the real cost.

@@arniehdz8389it only took them 2 days to figure out the problem. Multiple bearings were pitted. The guy said they replaced most of the bearings. Waiting for parts took all the time. Putting in back together was tricky so they had an engineer come to the dealer which took another 2 weeks. I guess my dealer doesn't do too many of these fusion energi. After this near miss, I am going to do a drain and fill every 20K.

I should be good I called ford and verified my started in the factory in 2017z so I’m under the 8years/100k. Actually it's 12 total. The other side has 8 bearings that go bad as well depends 2 or 4s or 6s. These four in the back also need replaced but front is the problem all the time in my experience

You get the bearings directly from Ford. We charge $2995 to pull and rebuild. I sell the rebuild kit for $995. If you brought me the transmission I would charge $600 in labor for the rebuild + $995 the rebuild kit. I will not install your parts.

Yeah my ford fusion hybrid 2014 makes the same noise. There are 2 problems one are bearings and the other is the generator. The bearings got replaced and still makes that squeaking noise. They told me the right way to get it fix is to replace the transmission. There is no parts for the generator. It’s a bad transmission design by ford. By the way, even thou You replace the transmission it will still have the same problem eventually.

2013+ hybrid Lincoln and Ford's have problematic bearings with the US manufactured Aisin hybrid transmission. In the previous generation 06-2012 the hybrid transmission is made in Japan.

Is this the same transmission as a C-MAX.. if so are both the energi version and regular hybrid version the same. Or do they have different gear ratios or anything

The Hybrid versions of both the Fusion and Cmax share the same transmission. The Energi versions share the same transmissions. And yes different gear ratios, 2.5 vs 2.9. Parts are not compatible between the transmissions.

Thank you very much. I fixed this today same exact noise if it wasn't for your video I don't know what I would have done. I had a donor transmission from a regular CMAX and I thought I could put it in a CMAX energi I realized right off the bat it wasn't compatible because of a lower transmission fluid line. Thanks to you I was able to make a split decision to use the bearing instead. All is well it runs and sounds great. However now I wish I could just buy that same bearing so I can put the donor transmission back together and keep it as a spare . Where could I buy the bearing by itself?

@stuartshellenberger9225 I have many years of experience replacing transmissions and it still took 8 hours to complete. It's harder than a regular foward-wheel drive car because of the cramped engine bay. You can remove it through the front by removing the front bumper and everything behind it. If you do not have a lift this will probably be the easiest way.

@@DanielHoffmann-tg1kg Just changed it at about 125k when the left front cv shaft seal and right CV shaft went bad. I will add that I drive mostly on the highway with a bit of idling in the winter. If I remember I'll come back and note when it dies, I might get ambitious and pull it myself.

Those are rotor bearings, not stator. The rotor as in the name rotates, that stator as in the name is stationary.
