Bojack was actually trapped in King Kais Planet, DBZA used him as the Reason as to why the tiny Planet has such a huge gravity and even had a few lines for him, where King Kai would shout "Shut up Bojack".

It’s too bad they never got to explore him fully in abridged style. Bojack was one of the only films in DBZ’s time that would’ve actually been canon along with Garlic Jr.

@@Luzarioth - No I said they would’ve. They’re setting in the timeline are actually accurate enough to have been canon, even though they weren’t. Garlic Jr. was before Raditz, and Bojack was after Cell and before Trunks left for his future.

Freeza's face when he finds out Cell did what he was unable to do, TWICE, is priceless. And having Freeza, Cooler and King Cold together sheds SO MUCH light on why the former two turned out the way they did.

Oh yeah, Cell never told Freeza that he killed both Goku AND Trunks... Or that he himself has Saiyan DNA and Cryomorph Alien DNA as part of his own. That's going to be amazing.

@@TheAngelofMercy Cryomorph is a composite word from the two greek words Cryo, which means Cold, and Morphe, which means Form (sometimes on a biological level). Incidentally, Xenomorph comes from the Greek Word Xenos, which means "Stranger" or "Unknown"

I still love Frieza's realization that Cell Killed Both of the Saiyans that humiliated/killed him

He killed Trunks _twice!_ Once in his first and weakest post-larval form, to boot! And before he absorbed all of those cities!

Cell not only killed the two that killed Frieza, he technically killed one while in his first form. The Trunks that went back in time the first time effortlessly killed Frieza, that Trunks in the other timeline then went back to the future, came back and they used a detonator to defeat that third timeline's androids and then returned to the future again and was about to head back once again after using the detonator from the past to defeat his timeline's androids thus depriving Cell of the two to fuse with. This first form Cell killed that Trunks and went into the past. However the main timeline we know things went a little differently, there were extra androids, they were stronger than the other timelines, Krillen fell for Android 18, Cell just showing up changed events as well...and after Cell exploded *killing Goku* and regenerated back into his Perfect form, now with Super Saiyan 2 power he sneak attack one shot killed Trunks with a beam through the chest. So Cell killed the guy who killed Frieza, then killed a much stronger version of the same guy, and used self destruct before that to kill the guy that had nearly killed Frieza on Namek.

A few clarifications about Bojack -He was trapped in King Kai's planet canonically -He is canonically a pirate -The sprog who killed him was Gohan -The ghost who punched him was Goku. Also, as I pointed out in the comments on the episode itself, Cell realized he could teleport and immediately went back to kill Tien.

1. Frieza's realisation that Cell killed both Goku and Trunks (technically the latter twice) is *perfect* I'd argue that Frieza deciding not to go to the other HFIL isn't him just sulking. I mean it is, but not about Cell. He's just tired emotionally. You could argue that its the one thing Cooler has over Frieza: a thicker skin. Being Cold's firstborn, he's completely over trying to impress his father because he realised long ago that it was never going to happen and at this point he's immune to his passive agressive insults. Now compare this to Frieza who almost desperately tries to just get his *attention* 2. Bojack was killed by Gohan, so I'm curious as to when they're going to reveal that to Cell lol Also, Goku punched Bojack to save Gohan even though it was against the rules since he was dead. So, technically, he *was* punched by a ghost Overall, I just love what they did with him. Not only is him just being universally friendly really fun, but having him in HFIL lets them introduce the character without having to touch his movie, which they noted was *impossibly exausting* to write for and was one of the reasons they decided to end mainline DBZA. Also, it establishes just how long Cell has been in HFIL, namely a few months if not up to a year.

I mean Bojack already was friendly because whenever he was talking to King Kai and the others inside the planet, he acted nice. I don’t get why he decided to attack Earth since he seemed on a somewhat friendly basis with Goku but 🤷‍♂️

Actually I think the being punched by a ghost joke was because during the movie in cheap imitation of the father-son kamehameha moment, Goku saves Gohan by punching Bojack... without actually being present to do so. No explanation, no follow up, just Bojack getting socked by a ghost lol. I COULD be getting that wrong as it's been decades and I don't want to endure the movie again, but I'm almost positive that happens.

@@Reshapable Bojack was about to kill Gohan so Goku hating watching this instant transmissioned to earth, despite not being allowed to, and punch Bojack to save Gohan. He then went back to the Otherworld where King Kai told him he broke the rules. Since Goku was dead when he instant transmissioned back he was technically a ghost. Therefore a ghost punched Bojack

I think Broly survived the first movie, and considering that Bojack was the newest person in the movie hfil, I doubt Broly is there. There’s always Turles, though.

yeah Bojack unbound might not get abridged, this episode acted as a way to sort of do a quick peek into it. otherwise yeah, all the Alter-HFIL characters are movie/non-canon
