The mention of jailers and the secrets in the ocean make the narrator possibly a morgawr from EL1. Also the houses that look modern have the united empire logo on them.

I wasn't sure when Amplitude announced the split from Sega, but seeing them publish through Hooded Horse has put all my concerns to rest. The Endless games have consistently been my favourite in the 4x genre. And while Humankind has been somewhat dissapointing, it really did innovate a lot in the genre, to the point Civ VII looks like Humankind 2. All this to say I'm pumped for Endless Legend 2 and looking forward to your coverage on it Havoc!

I played a lot of Endless Legend and I liked it very much, but I always saw it like a selling failure. I am happy that there's a sequel on the way!

@@Alexeiyeah not a failure at all. Base game alone has sold around 2 million copies +, not including dlc. Even over its 11 year selling period that’s a good number.

I love Endless Legend... but I suck so bad at it! I only finished it once using the Necrophage via the good old Zerg tactic. I'll reinstall it again. Learn the game again. And hopefully finish it using the 2 factions that I really love: The Cultists and the Forgotten.

Some guy on Reddit pointed out that some buildings have the United Empire's (from endless space) Symbol on them. So if I had to guess they are related somehow. Still too early to tell tho.

I'm an Age of Wonders enjoyer. Never heard of this series. What's the difference between this and Age of Wonders?

@junechevalier it's ALOT like there other game, humankind same city building same combat like age of wonders 4. But revolves around the world of endless legend and each race is VERY unique and they all have different units that are adapt at different things one race one can move its cities freely one can only have one city but gets huge bonuses for it so every race has a quest lines and quests and lvling up your heroes is a big part of the game.

the theme of a fantasy 4x is similar but the main differences are a limited number of set races with very asymmetric gameplay, distinct faction lore quests, and a verey distinct look and feel. I hope they push on factional asymmetry because it's been one of the strengths of Amplitude games and with every endless universe 4x game they pushed the envelope on this feature so far. That in my opinion is the correct course for them.

Is the fact it is being published by Hooded Horse, the reason it is not going to be available in a Mac playable edition? If so this is a step back from Amplified 's association with Sega who do provide Mac ports to the games they publish.

We were let down my amplitude with their lousy humankind. But i .. and i believe many others loved endless legend, and with the seemingly disappointment that civ 7 has the potential to become, i think that are driving us to pin more hope on endless legend 2
