I wish I had like half the money for tools and kits. I don't feel like painting hte models I do have because all I have are brushes and they don't do well on broad flat panels. what paint do you use? Spray/airbrush? you can have more control will airbrush. Set the compressor to 20-25 psi then make sure your paint is thin. I usually use 2:1 paint to thinner ratio. Then spray with little paint and use several layers

But on large surface of a armor piece, logically there shouldn't be any line?

let the first later cure for 24 hours first. I tried painting with lacquer and let it dry for half an hour then mask the part then paint again. The first paint layer still intact when I peel the masking tape. So depends on your situation really

When I airbrush my kit I use top coat and then try to panel line it, but I when I use enamel thinner to clean up it messes up the acrylic airbrush paint. Any tips for me?
@GurtMcDirt4 жыл бұрын
Try using lighter fluid for cleanup. It’s less harsh than enamel thinner. Another factor is in curing, acrylics generally take 24 hours to several days to fully cure, hardening and becoming more resistant to solvent. Happy painting! 😄
@placross4 жыл бұрын
if you use acrylic paint you should use acrylic base paint for the panel lines too. Acrylic solvent is weaker than enamel so the thinner will wipe off enamel and acrylic
