Ladies our modesty is everything because we are a hidden light only for our husbands and we need to be modest in all ways. The prayer Ana Bechoach has so much power. The staff (rod) symbolizes doing something with justice. We see Moses strengthened by God sending the plagues with this staff. The plagues were done with justice. Then we see the rock giving water (Jesus) providing living water for the people (Israelites). But how did the rock give water to the people? By striking it with a stick (with justice). Jesus had to die (with justice) so that living water (the Holy Spirit) could be given to the people. In Exodus 17, this is exactly what happened when the people first complained to God/Moses about water. But in Numbers 20 God said speak to the rock. Speak as if you were praying to the rock (Jesus) for water. Did Moses do that? No. He struck the rock with his staff (with righteousness) again to get water, which could suggest as if Jesus had been "crucified" twice, so God for Moses' disobedience allowed him to see the promised land only from afar. In the New Testament, Jesus died only once to provide living water (salvation - eternal life) for all. Jesus Christ is the Living Water. "O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters."(Jer 17:13) "Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them." (Ez 36:25-27) ) "Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw." (J 4:10-15) "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)"(J 7:37-39) "For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."(Rev 7:17) "Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life without cost. He who overcomes will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be My son. But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:6-8) "Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations."(Rev 22:1-2)
