Really nice clean build John. Great explanation of everything too. Seems really easy to set up with the air unit. Pretty much plug n play.

Thank you and loving the gemfan 51477 hurricanes. My new main prop.

John Cuppi I’m so glad you ended up liking those. So was what I told you on the money then about them. All the speed of the 51466 and all the durability of the 51499 but coming light on the weight and performing very smoothly. I hope that they are your 🦄 prop man. I know I love em. 😁

I just bought this FC to replace a Mamba F7 APP FC because the mpu6000 gyro went bad. Not bad for $60 in this day and age. You have to buy what's available for the price they're asking. I like that this one also has an MPU6000. It says it does anyway.
@JohnCuppi2 жыл бұрын
The Zeus kit ended up being a very good setup for me long term, I still have this stuff. Hope it works out well for you! MPU6000 is the best gyro.
@CarbonGlassMan2 жыл бұрын
@@JohnCuppi That's great news. I was very happy with the Mamba stack too. It lasted 8 or 10 months, something like that. The 55a esc is still good and so is the FC but it started occasionally freaking out and the black box looks less like a heart beat line and more like it's trying to color in the screen. I'm going to try to reflow the gyro before I try to replace it. I just want it back in the air now and it will be as soon as this FC gets here in the mail.

I won my first HGLRC product, the Batman220. Finally manage to break it, totally my fault. I didn't check my screws! Looks like it flys beautifully but that looks very tight! At least for me! You went way over my head a couple of times but I am a noob after all. Especially in the building and tuning area.
@JohnCuppi4 жыл бұрын
I remember the batman, that was supposed to be a really good one for the time. No worries about not understanding the tuning info, it was meant to be very brief for those who have watched the tuning tutorials by others on youtube, and not a step by step kind of deal.

i have a bunch of these that i need to fix lol not sure why but for some reason the usb go out fast i mean maybee its the 5v regulator or maybee its the one we were talking about before
@JohnCuppi3 жыл бұрын
I’ve had really good luck with mine in 30x30 form, maybe it’s just the 16x16 that’s got a worse regulator? :(

Looks good to me John. Q: what would happen if you went with a higher gauge of wire which would make the drone lighter, the use and compartment easier to manage space-wise? I would think 3 thin strands of wire will hold the same amount of conductivity without compromising your power or control. What do you think?
@JohnCuppi4 жыл бұрын
It's a nice idea but for power delivery, you really don't want to go below 14awg or 16awg which is what I went with for the XT60. It starts to affect voltage beyond that point for builds like this if the wire gauge is too thin. Of course, the air unit's cable -> camera size cannot be changed as well, as this cable is proprietary. I had to find somewhere to snake around, and was one of the troublesome cables to deal with. I think the real answer is to just not use the air unit for this build at all, and go with a caddx vista. The chameleon ti 5" wasn't designed for this.

And thanks for saying it looks good! I appreciate it. I did the best I could with what I had.
