I too didn't want to paint the floor. It did turn out nice. Loved the counter cabinet under the kitchen sink. BEAUTIFUL ❤️🌟 HOME. HUSBAND loves his WIFE. And WIFE loves her HUSBAND so very MUCH.

yep - you want color, use that rug. Indoor/outdoor style would suit a kitchen perfectly, I did that in mine because the previous owner had installed white tile that got dirty 4.6 seconds after you mopped it. And speaking of tiles, she needed color because that large expanse of backsplash was white. That would have been the perfect spot for pattern and color.

This house was one of my favorites ! I love the painted floor in kitchen . the dining room walls and ceiling are awesome , that kitchen is gorgeous ! Beautiful farm house , love , love , love it ! You guys did an awesome job & it was so cool of you to have her husband get his hands in making that table , he was so cute and proud of doing this for his wife , your a good man Ben you and Erin are so talented I enjoy this so much !

What fun. When I was a kid, I designed a sunken bed nook for myself complete with space to hold my radio, books, art supplies, records, etc. I even had a drafting table fold down from the wall so I could do my drawing and painting. The best part was a flexible lamp so I could read at night after I was supposed to be asleep.

Painted floor will be an ice rink when it gets water or oil on it unless they used some sand grip. Regardless I’ve been in the biz for 30 years and I’ve never seen painted floors last a year before coming up.

I love the farmsink. Looks like furniture.. love the stove. I would put carpet under her 🛏️ bed. Keep her warmer. She would not be on cement. THEIR home is BUILT with LOVE. They are a beautiful COUPLE. I just love them. GOD BLESS YOU.

…. Why paint the floor? Especially when he clearly says he can make it look like the rest of the other floors? I would maybe get it if the wood was weirdly patched or different, so painting would save the floor, but painting pretty floors?

Oh FFS, you want color in the kitchen, just put down the fucking rug, or have colorful backsplash. Can you imagine how exciting that would have looked. There was so much tile and so much opportunity wasted. I think my language clearly expresses my disgust that she painted those exquisite wood floors. I hate that as much as I hate the way she traps refrigerators, preventing owners from every getting a different size come replacement time. Just a couple little gripes cuz they almost always do really great work. And so much of this home was stunning. I love the doweled shelves that preserved the kitchen natural light.

Lol..you remind me of my husband. When we looked at our house he could not get past an oddly placed dormer and it bugged the heck out of him. Didn't want to buy the house but I insisted. Now four years later our investment has tripled in value and I want to sell but he's adamant about staying. Go figure.
