Really cool to see how this is done in the UK, nice presentation too. That's neat to see how the truck is set up, that wrecker body seems very similar to American heavy wreckers with the underlift and all!

Good vlog Steve. Like others have said it's good to see someone in the UK doing a wrecker vlog and not another one from the States. Keep em coming 👍

Hi Andy thanks for watching. On loading i would hope to be loaded and ready to tow in 30 minutes on most jobs hopefully to give you some idea of time it takes.

I am just about to take my C+E license and this has been a fascinating channel to have found. Hopfully i never have to use your services in my career though :-) I binged watched all of them. I do wish you kept the video going though to show the end results a little more. Like others have asked for, a full, indepth, tour of your truck and what all the bins have inside would be brilliant.

Completely agree, the videos seem to cut off abruptly, would love to see the recovered vehicle finally being delivered, it can't be an easy task! Aside from that, love the videos and looking forward to more!

We have some older trucks in my job around 20 year's old and we never have problems with them its all the new trucks that give trouble because of so much electronics on them to go wrong.
@lorenzoroberts13262 жыл бұрын
Older trucks are way more reliable than these new trucks with electronics

Just found your channel and subscribed, binge watched all your videos, please keep up the great videos! What is the purpose of these low lorries? What's the advantage?
@yorkiepudd74042 жыл бұрын
Hiya, the simple answer is most of europe still has the older standard of 3.6mtr bridge height. obviously the newer is at the 4 mtr +, sure was fun judging bridges way ahead, but as air suspension became the norm made it easier and with ECAS is even easier.

Hi Steve. I have enjoyed watching your UK videos. I note that watching some of the American videos they have break away chains as well as chaining the chassis to the under lift. But you and others in the uk don’t. Whats your thoughts on it?
@tootalltom2 жыл бұрын
The Americans have break away chains on everything they tow as far as I can tell.
@pieterr9721 Жыл бұрын
You are already feeding air to the emergency line through the line to the tractor, so why the line to the trailer? And , no connection to the ABS for the trailerbrakes?
@HeavyRecoverywithSteve Жыл бұрын
Hi Pieter , we still have to run a emergency line to the trailer as you have to on normal artic trailer in case of emergency of separation from tow truck the brakes will come on trailer.
@prestigeproduction572 жыл бұрын
Does it matter weather you tow the hgv front or back
@timf29142 жыл бұрын
Does any trucks in the UK have tow hooks in the front so you could flat tow like they do in the USA
@HeavyRecoverywithSteve2 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim , most new European trucks over here now come with a screw in tow eye, but you only get 1 from factory.

@@HeavyRecoverywithSteve Hi Steve I see on you tube some recovery's from Germany and the use both pick up points for lifting that's easyer than lifting under the axel. I am from holland so I love to see you driving a DAF nice work.
@arthurandrews87552 жыл бұрын
Surely you should have put a on tow sign on the back of the trailer?
@HeavyRecoverywithSteve2 жыл бұрын
Hi Andrew , thanks for watching, the trailer being towed should display the same reg as tow truck on tow signs add awareness.
