Hey Steve! So great to see you back with another awesome video! The other day I was literally thinking, "Hmm, hope Steve the recovery dude is doing okay, haven’t seen anything from him lately." And bam, here you are! Thanks for posting! Seeing some of your footage really makes me appreciate the hard work and challenges you guys face out there. Every time I’m on the road, I always move to the furthest lane possible - I drive a 4x4, so I make sure there’s always a clear lane for you to work safely. I know recently recovery agents have been dealing with issues, especially with Highways England just doing lane diversions instead of proper lane closures. I saw GDb Official talking about the same thing-Highways only putting a lane 1 divert and watching for compliance instead of giving you that crucial lane 1 closure when exiting a refuge area. Honestly, I really appreciate the work you do. I was wondering, could you maybe put out a video for the public with tips that might make you feel safer when recovering? I know it's such a risky and vulnerable job, and I think a lot of people would benefit from hearing your perspective! Thanks again for all that you do!

Why do you disconnect the red line and then connect to your truck? You connect your truck to the tractor, can't the trailer be fed from that?
@HeavyRecoverywithSteve2 ай бұрын
Hi Alistair , by connecting the Red line from my truck to the trailer it becomes a emergency line , so if the trailer comes separated from unit the air line will break causing the trailer brakes to be applied , stopping the trailer rolling away.
