I was a owner driver on “Tarmacs” for years long hours lots of waiting about to get loaded for nothing and on days off you will be working on the lorry and everything is inTarmacs favour,retired now and if I had the chance to do it all over again that would be the last job I would chose.

@Boothy how does one get it out if it gets stuck?. Is it always just a small amount you can get with a shovel or can a large amount of the load get stuck?
@boothy2501942 жыл бұрын
@@stevencorscadden5767 there are times it’s a small amount you can just whip it out with a shovel, but more often than not it’s stuck front to back covering the full bed, your 50mil base is easy to get out, sma if I remember the name correctly is just like a sheet of glue left behind, that’s not so easy 🤦♂️

Hi new subscriber. Currently in the process of getting my class 2. I’ve been driving Coaches for over 7 years . What’s the best way to get into tipper work. How easy is it to get on someone’s like Conway, Hansen or Tarmac as a new licence holder . My area is Reading. I already have Tacho, CPC and worked under both domestic and eu hours so well trained and qualified in that respect .Any advice would be appreciated 👍🏻
@boothy2501943 жыл бұрын
Hi Neil, you can't go wrong with tipper work, get your class 2 and you're set. It's literally just a case of phoning about as a few company's do take on new drivers and others want 2 years experience, you'll be trained on what to do and once you get the experience you can go anywhere 👍

Which would you say would be the best shifts to go for mate days or nights ?
@boothy2501943 жыл бұрын
Sorry about the slow reply mate I didnt see this, it's just what ever best fits around your life... however, nights is easier as you mainly do motorways where as days is none stop with heavy traffic to contend with and can be at pain at home time

Hi mate, worked there for about 2 years, good company to work for to be honest... tipper driving isn't for everyone as you can be sat on 1 job for around 5 hours and other times you can do 5 jobs in an hour but every day is different, ill be back when I get my license back
