@@theappalachianchannel Thank You and when I see a general store I think of the Walton's TV series and Godsey's General Store and here in my state of Oklahoma there are a few that are still going here and there but I see a lot of old buildings where they used to have general stores and small mom and pop groceterias as they were called but enjoy seeing these in your videos Thank You and have wonderful Halloween this week Thanks.👋🇺🇲👍

That's beautiful...in our fast paced world, we forget about the history and sacrifice of those before us...and the little stores were community centers...so great to see the store still thriving!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!

The guy and his wife that lives only 40 minutes away from this amazing store acts like they live in the city instead of there in the mountains 😊 Everyone pleases support all amazing stores like this there’s very few left in this world 😢 This is the greatest people on this earth ❤❤❤ but the sad truth is after they’ve gone nothing on this earth will ever be the same anymore 😢😢😢 She’s a true example of a true beauty human great heart for us all ❤ God bless her soul and her store for many more generations more love her ❤❤❤ Our world society outside is changing in away that most of us hates seeing our hearts are longing for this true happy life and way of life to come back into our society world as we are seeing so much evil destruction destroying so much of this way of life 😢 We know time is running out for us to continue to live this way of life from the evil destruction that’s happening today with technology and Al robots taking over everything But we all stood up together side by side and said no more we have had enough we are not going to allow this evil destruction anymore we could bring back this great happy life to continue for our children and grandchildren it breaks my heart watching this but knowing the reality of the truth that’s happening outside in this world 😢😢 I love you great brothers and sisters ❤❤❤

drinking birds are originally from the early 20s cause you can find them in old cartoons from the 30s and 40s and its so to see general stores like this going especially when they used to help the community not be hungry i know stores like this were invaluable to my family during the depression and when my dad was little in the 50s.. here in Tx.. and God bless this lady and all you've shown on this channel & others running places like this...❤

we had a little general store like priddys back where i was born and raised ..we called it the springtown store..they sold everything from coldcut sandwhiches to candy and gasoline..as a youngster we'd get on our 3 wheelers or dirt bikes and make the 3 mile trek to springtown and everytime we'd walk in it always smelled the same ,,that old timey candy smell..we'd use our allowance to buy a rc cola and a bunch of those little solid chocolate footballs wrapped in gold and silver foil..they were a penny a piece and the rc was 10 cents..the great memories of the 80s..in recent years the springtown store closed up and now it's just a half rotted wooden building..i'm glad to see some of these little mom and pop general stores are still going

In our community we had a store named Meeks. Once a year mom took my sister and I hear and bought us a new “out fit”. to wear to the fair which came in August. Our parents wouldn’t go to the fair but we had 3 older brothers who took us. It was so much fun and the music and smells at the entrance was magical

I just found your channel, well first one I seen was when you were with Ralph, his old general store, I guess over near Middlesboro Ky, I love seeing them old timey stores, there was still quite a few still open around the hills and that of Ky when I was a youngin, I’m almost 64 , will be next month. Yeah in that Ralph video I commented about a old general store over by Furnace Ky, remember going in that one a few times, like I said before the last time I was in there was the mid 80’s, they was still going strong, or as strong as they could be I reckon, at that time, I don’t remember the name of the folks that ran that one.

Rural America where the "Gang Member" is from the little church in town.
