HHS Children and Youth Resilience Challenge Finalist: ACES Screening at Well Child Visits

The goal of ACES Screening at Well Child Visits (ALLIANCE) is to develop and evaluate an integrated solution for identifying families affected by or at risk for child maltreatment, provide tailored preventive counseling in clinical care, and connect families to community resources to promote protective factors, prevent future maltreatment and improve the mental health and resilience of the whole family.
ALLIANCE was a finalist in the national Children and Youth Resilience Challenge. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) launched the Resilience Challenge as part of President Biden’s Unity Agenda and Mental Health Strategy and an initiative of the HHS Behavioral Health Coordinating Council Subcommittee on Children and Youth.
